Lol, you have to feel for these guys. Their most iconic model is about to be revealed after 7 very long years of secrecy and all that is left to show is the M3’s front and the M4’s rear. The rest is leaked with real life photos.

I definitely give them a pass in this attempt to keep some suspense the last weeks

The vehicle shown in the video is clearly an older test vehicle which does not have the final bodywork components.

Don't get any false hopes and try to get used to the new look. At least the BMW models are now more different again, not like Mercedes or Audi.
but the new X5M and X6M have different front ends! not entirely out of the possibility.

Noticed that as well. Xdrive will definitely not be an option for me. I don't care if you can turn it off, the weight and compromises are still there. I hope bmw puts the time and effort into tuning the RWD model to be as raw as possible rather than building the xdrive model then just simply removing it. Kind of how they do autos then throw in the manuals as an afterthought.

I would take that car as is. With the mule nose and camo over the production front end.

So no one on here is going to comment on the fact that they are working tirelessly on engineering any feedback and feel out of the steering system? Interesting.

Not sure how they are knee jerk reactions when the reactions haven't changed for some time now. Most of the reactions are genuine. You may not agree with them, but it doesn't mean they are knee-jerk!

He's only confirmed 11 times that it is getting the same grille as the m4. Let's have him do it one more time for good measure haha.

While I don't think this will be the case, I think it would be a good look with the thickened grill outline.

I got the MP HAS on my F80 and really changed the handling characteristics.

Not quite sure how the M division bungled the stock springs for the F8X generation.

True but that was months ago, perhaps BMW changed course internally? Doubtful tho.

Your logic is flawed

If it were true, the M3 would get the G20s nose. It doesn't, because in the grand scheme of vehicle development, a bumper mould is literally nothing. Additionally, just because the old M3 and M4 shared a face (the first generation where an M3 had a different face to lesser 3er brothers) I think people assume this is written in stone.

Why?

We were told by the designers he whole reason the 4 has that fugly grille is to differentiate it from the 3 and make it (ugh) 'more dynamic'. They want it to look different to the 3, and the 3 is for more conservative buyers. Putting the new M4 face on it contradicts that comment...?

I've been lucky enough to spend a lot of time driving every current M vehicle BMW sells except the M8, I'm honestly not worried about how the car drives - I'm sure it will be a great fit for my preferences since I am a fan of the current products and the recipe of parts seems too good to mess up.

The styling is what's concerning because I truly hate what I'm seeing of the M4 so that's the more interesting topic at the moment.

I personally hope they launch M4 with the fugly face since a lot of people are saying they like that, give M3 a face closer to the current 3 series, and then an M4 GranCoupe with the M4's front end styling. This way the largest pool of customers can buy the car they like the best and BMW would sell the highest number of overall vehicles.

" we've put a lot of effort into eliminating any disturbances from the steering system…. It's a big task but once achieved It'll make this vehicle very easy to drive."

Seriously, what is going on at BMW, this is just sad and not the company I grew up with and loved owning, its a f****** M3, not a base 330i, we don't want easy to drive we want driver engagement and feedback!!!!

TBH was engineering was pretty pedestrian. They kept it simple for the average consumer. To a car enthusiast they were merely stating the obvious.

Not a single section entitled to lightweight construction of the car or structural rigidity of the chassis, which tells me that this will be a heavy pig unlike F8x generation.

They keep going on and on about the obvious development in suspension yet refuse to share details of how this is a true driver's car.
