The steering feedback ship has sailed long time ago. EPS in current designs just isn’t capable of it. No, not even Porsche’s.

With that in mind I’m not really concerned about the statement above. I’m more curious to see how it has evolved into a better tool for performance driving. Same story as the ship for NA type of engines have sailed with all the glory they are capable of and now it’s no longer about comparing the FI engines to them but to see how the FI engines evolve and improve on their strengths.

The friction feedback elimination is nevertheless disturbing in historic context...

If those are production headlights in the video then definitely the G20 face (Normal sized grilles) will make it to the G80 as the headlight-grille integration & the e46 style kinked headlights are clearly visible.

They aren't. In pictures of more recent test mules you can very clearly see the G22 headlights.

If the large nose unfortunately appears then In my opinion the M340i will end up being the best variant to pick from this generation/iteration of the 3'er.
However, lets hope for the best.

Like I wrote in another thread, they don't want to scare off the customers too soon. BMW hopes that by the time the car has been revealed the performance figures will attract people despite the ugliness.

Care to elaborate? I know it can be exaggerated in certain conditions but it looked like that even on some straighter looking parts of the road. Or does it take time to settle once you change the wheels? Didn't know it takes that long.

True. Even if the car gets alot of negative public attention due to looks, it's still attention generated.

The vehicle shown in the video is clearly an older test vehicle which does not have the final bodywork components.

Don't get any false hopes and try to get used to the new look. At least the BMW models are now more different again, not like Mercedes or Audi.

I mean...they already offer the different bumper styles in the 3 sedan vs 4 coupe. I don't think it's a stretch to imagine the styling going it's own way on the M3.
