Don't worry, it already did that the moment you drove it off the lot

The kink is present on both the 4 and the 3.

To be fair, the shape seen on the new 4 Series has the Hofmeister Kink pulling in the opposite/reverse direction so it's definitely a new design reinterpretation that can be seen by some as an abandonment of the design feature.
Of course, BMW themselves say it's still there. In a live interview from this morning, exterior designer Christopher Weil was confronted with the question of the Hofmeister Kink, to which he admitted that it differs from the shape that is 'normally' expected, but that it's still present, just in a reversed shape.

I think the G80 M3 can be a great daily driver instead of a boring SUV. A potential M4 CSL sounds interesting if it is priced correctly. Example: A $150k M4 won't sell good. Maybe in the $115k range for a M4 CSL.
I'm already seeing a bunch of overpriced M8's around. |

As much as I agree with this, BMW has done a lot of stupid s**t as of late. I wouldn't be surprised if they screwed it up.

Naturally no new model can immediately reach the status of the former models but I’m pretty sure they will go all out to try and it won’t be cheap...I put my bet on that it won’t happen though, that the target is too lofty to not risk the halo of the badge deservedly earned. |
