G20 vs. F30 Base Suspension

Guys, my 2017 330i lease is coming due in less than 2 months. I do like the car, but there are 2 things I really think should be better:
1) Too much body roll in corners
2) Car does not absorb road impacts well. Also, the car will bump-steer when going around curves with small bumps.

Can any one tell me whether the G20 improves markedly in these areas (with runflats)?

Yes the G20 is better in pretty much every realm. I had an F30 335ix and my M340 is night and day better.

I don't have the adaptive suspension and did regret it at first but I've come to really enjoy the road feedback I get through the chassis. If you're main concern is a smooth ride then I'd highly recommend the adaptive M suspension. However base passive suspension in the M340 is still way better than that on the F30 I had.

I'll let others comment if they desire on the adaptive suspension. Hope this helps!

I have a 330 with the passive m sport suspension and 19 RFT. I drove a 330 with the non m sport passive suspension which was much softer and smoother over rough pavement but not as connected. I have not driven the adaptive suspension except during a one of the performance events at the track, so no idea what it’s like day to day.

I have an extended test drive scheduled for Friday. I want to see how the 330i behaves over roads I'm very familiar with. I did get an msport loaner some time ago but it road too busy for me, although it was less jittery than the F30 msport.

It's a shame that dealers don't stock cars with conventional tires or the adaptive suspension since they both seem to increase ride quality.

The G20 base suspension is incredibly better than the F30's. I was actually pretty impressed with how the G20 base suspension handled. BMW did a good job of limiting body roll with it, and making it not harsh. You'll feel bumps, but the impulse isn't sharp and it's not harsh and jarring.

One of the things BMW did was give the rear dampers more travel before hitting the bump stops. I'm sure that's a significant part of the ride comfort improvement.

Great info., thanks. I'm going to go on an extended test drive today to see how the 2020 does on roads I'm very familiar with.
