The Alpina B3 has the S58 (but isn’t available in the US)

So the Alpina B3 (sedan and touring version) has a slightly detuned S58 and the upcoming M3 will have the ZF 8HP automatic. So if you were going to get an automatic and hate the G80 grille, then you can just get the B3 which will be closer to an M3 than it has ever been. Obviously the suspension will probably be closer to M Sport, and the sheetmetal is still regular G20, but the grille will be the much more conventional style. And while Alpinas usually use the base model interiors and body kits, this time around they'll be using the M Sport trim so will have the M Sport steering wheel and aero kit on it. This honestly seems like the better option for those who will rarely if ever track their car. And it will certainly be far more exclusive. You can't go wrong with Alpina wheels, either. |

Would be a great choice but like most Alpina vehicles, it’s not coming to the US. Bummer.
