Essentially if the climate is 37 or below, and the ground already has ice on it (or did), ground temperature will still support icy conditions. Arid climates are especially notorious for having this issue when ice does happen.

I'm amazed this has to be explained to someone who lives in Toronto. It's not as if it's Florida where the temperature rarely gets to freezing.

New Car, new features you learn something everyday, coming from 9 year old mazda 3 it only displays outside temp no warnings.
