Ohlins RT leaking??? Also what setting do you run for spirited or track?

I jus installed ohlins RT less than two months ago. And upon removing my front wheels noticed some dried oil residue on the threads. I’m assuming this should not be happening. Iv emailed ohlins support to see if this is a defective item.

Also what setting do you guys run? I’m currently on three clicks from softest but still feels slightly floaty and want a tighter setting that doesn’t compromise comfort.

I'm running at 15 clicks from zero and mine have been on for about a year and a half with around 14k miles on it and they're running clean.

I think some slight leakage may occur due to seals never being 100% perfect, but that does seem to be worth inquiring with Ohlins. Last time I took off the ohlins (two months ago), I didn’t notice any oil/residue.
I run 5-7 clicks from softest setting for street. On the track, it really is dependent on which track, tires, your confidence, etc. I guess a good starting point would be ~11 clicks from softest.

I’m currently 12 from softest and def more firm but may try 7.

Have you noticed there is more than 20 clicks compared to what manual says

I’ve never gone past 11 or 13 clicks, lol. Guess I will find out next time they are on the car.

Il have to try that setting

Jus heard back from ohlins and they said it’s likely excess oil from the dampener on full compression and check again in a few thousand miles
