They are all the same ZF. But one is called "automatic" and the other is called "sport steptronic". Only the "sport steptronic" has sport+ mode and paddle shifters. It costs roughly +300$. |

Oh ok. BMWs here come with sport transmission or something like that (I think I saw that on the sticker). We have paddle shifters too.

I’m currently in an x3 loaner non-mport xline sdrive and it has sport plus! How’s that’s possible? Am I missing something? Also the sport screen shows 320 hp and 320 tq. It has the same B48 as our 330’s though....? Very weird. Or is this just normal?

My sport gauge shows 320/320. Apparently a new idrive update changes it in older cars.

Sport plus will not be added. You have to code it in via bimmercode. For the sport displays, on the idrive, go to CAR -> Driving information->Sport displays. You should see it.

I see. Guess I'll try coding. Makes the x3 seem faster.... Ok I'll try that when I get my car back.

US model 330's do have launch control but not Sport + mode by default.
1. Put in Sport mode 2. Put shift lever in sport mode 3. Push traction button once 4. Push brake pedal all the way to the floor... you have to completely depress it 5. Press throttle all the way to the floor and within 1-2 seconds launch control will activate. Also, just as a side note... you cannot code Sport + on a g20 with Bimmercode. Currently only Esys and other actual "coding" systems can do this. |

We own a my2020 G21, 330i xDrive (European model with the adaptive M suspension). The other day I saw that Sport+ mode is available and can be configured in the individual settings of the 'driving modes'. When selecting the 'sport' button multiple times it will than select Sport+ or the individual / adjusted Sport setting. Unless I misunderstood and this is not exactly what you look for, you don't need bimmer code to enable this. I didn't see or tried the launch control nor checked the suggestions given above for activation. The car is brand new so it has to wait until the first Km's are done Last edited by Bimmer_73NL; 05-07-2020 at 07:10 AM.. |
