Just ordered jb plus for my g20 m340. I don't have the time or the involvement as i used to have when I was younger tuning cars. I know you can up the boost max an additional 4.5psi. I purchased the jb4 and returned it with everything needed cause I don't want to go crazy on the car mapping and busting through the firewall. Really Waiting for Dinan to drop some decent mods so I am in warranty world lol. But a little added boost never hurt anyone within reason. I know the b58 can handle around 500hp to the crank so an extra 20-40hp crank or wheel,to say the least is very modest but generous for the $ spent. If Anyone can weigh in in regards the the jb+ and the b58 g20... opinions, suggestions, whatever. There's a lot of b48 330i guys with it that say they notice quite a difference. Don't get me wrong the m340 is a beast, but I feel it lacks on the high end boost as I feel it's most powerful up to 4500rpm. I'm hoping that added boost from jb+ will help that up top low power/torque band.

The b58 can handle well over 600 to the crank and don’t waste time with jb+ or 4 go with a flash which you can do through your phone and leave it at that

Unless you are concerned about warranty and/or lease return

What is the issue with a lease return if you have a tune? Does the leasing company check the history and if so, what do they do if they find out you had a tune?

I doubt they do. Every lease turn-in I've done took 5 mins while they checked for dings and that's about it. However, there's always a risk so it may not be worth it to everyone. I'm on the fence about it myself honestly...

If they wanted to a jb4 can also set off overboost flags in the dme and check that if you had a warranty issue

BIG FYI BMW warranty does not support or cover any mods including DINAN... except if its a BMW direct power kit

I notice a difference but it seems to be inconsistent. I always enjoy the first day or 2 of it being on and end up taking it off. The stock tune is very good. It is fun for a jolt here and there when it's on and it is noticeable. I just feel the cars ecu finds a way to correct itself and That's what makes me take it off, and I do get lag with the transmission I feel. I've tried the jb+ on every setting. Just my 2 cents, every car is different to how it responds.

I should be receiving my JB+ tomorrow.
I've heard a lot of mixed things about it.
Hopefully my experience is a positive one

I previously had a 440i gran coupe lease that I used jb+ on. I also always added one gallon of E85 to around 9 to 10 gallons of 93 for 94 octane running jb+ at default setting. Car felt much more torquey around 3k rpm. Not much if any shift delay, at least in manual mode/ sport+ which is how I drove it when driving hard.

Recently I got a 2021 M340i lease. This car doesn't have the low end grunt of the 440i/jb+ setup but seems to pull harder up top even stock..Now that I have the engine broken in ill add the jb+ to the M340i and run e30 mix since the B58tu can handle more E.

thx for your feedback... Interesting, so you now are running without it back to stock? If you want to get rid of it, PM me as I may want to take a crack at it.

Also, I assume with the JB+ you are pulling just a bit over 400HP/400TQ...how do you get around increasing the scale for both HP/TQ on dashboard so that you can also visually see it's making a difference?

Would like to hear your thoughts too

Similar to the previous post, my previous F30 335 MPerformance package had only 335 HP/330 TQ but you could feel it snap right off the bat... With the M340, while a superior engine, I feel the TQ kicks in much later, and it's a bit hard to get used to it... Am hoping the Jb+ can correct that and also add some extra boost that you can feel.

I wrote couple of reviews on different settings (5,4,3,2 o clock). Currently enjoying the 2 o clock setting as it seems the smoothest of them all so far, yet there are still boost added. Hopefully you can check them out and read it.
