When I got my M340i I kept looking for a built in holder for sunglasses… don't understand why BMW couldn't put one in.
Picked up one of these as well. Seems to be built ok, but I have concerns over long term durability. I found that it's not large enough to fit my Oakleys due to the curved temples. Only sunglasses that fold very flat will fit. |

Primary are RayBan, zero issues with those. Secondary pair Costa Del Mar Rincon Sunglasses fitted with 63.5 Lenses, that's on the Bigger side. They fit fine but whereas the RBs can go in any possible way, the Costa can fit perfect facing upwards.

I use the area under the steering wheel on the left. There’s a little storage area there that fits a pair. Is it meant for something else? Always figured it was for sunglasses.

Edit. I'm guessing it's this one. https://www.amazon.com/Sunglasses-Gl...7910644&sr=8-5 Baby Glock and a extra mag fits perfectly. Last edited by phillyd2; 08-02-2021 at 08:28 AM.. |

This was a great find, thinking about getting one for the passenger side too.
As for install, the only tricky part was figuring out how to get the OEM "anchor" part out. Turns out, its a rather long connector and I recommend using needle nose pliers (I thought all I would need is a pry tool).

LOL, I am trying to install this right now and am running into issues with getting the original grab handle out. Anybody wanna give me a few pointers. Really trying hard not to break anything here.
