Spoke to a main dealer today in the midlands and they have had no notification of either of these issues.
They said they will check and speak to me tomorrow as I have both of those options on my order.

Its clear enough, but lack of defined bass without distortion, very artificial surround, basic EQs just make it all a bit disappointing. You'd never guess there were two subwoofers under the seats for example.

Considering its probably cost me an extra grand or so as an option (can't remember as was part of a pack) it's just a bit underwhelming and probably not worth the extra costs over the HiFi.

At the time of ordering, HK was on the "must-have" list. If I was to order again, it most definately wouldnt be.
I think I may have mentioned this you you before, I agree that the subwoofers are on the quiet side but going HK is vastly superior to Hifi imho

And HiFi is superior to the base. For whatever reason though, "HiFi" [sic] is only available on the 330i.

None of them are much cop compared to B&O on the Audi.

Not sure whats installed by default in a 530e, but had a loan car from dealer yesterday and whatever was in that (not HK) sounded much much better than the HK in my 330e. It was the first thing I noticed when driving off.

The next thing was how much more comfortable the seats were, and then how much nicer the iDrive display was.

Yes I agree about the seating, I think the G2x seats are really bad. Per the other post, I've added a substantial lumbar support bladder to my seats which has made a *huge* improvement but not as good as the G3x or my old A6 even so.

Yes definitely Hifi is much better than base and I've never noticed that Hifi was only available in the 330 until now

The 5 series gets B&W as the higher option (kinda matching B&O on Audi). Shame it isn't available with the 3 series.

Gutted, but just cancelled my order.
The thought of having the most expensive car I have ever ordered, minus so many things that I wanted, (and those things will become available at some time again) just didnt add up. Waiting so long thanks to BIK to drive a real car once more, I can wait a while longer.

I’ve decided that if it’s on HK and Wireless charging I’m just going to stick with it as I am genuinely excited for the G21 330e, I’m hopeful I get the extras just will see, guys for you SonD

I know modding isn't for everyone, but a good vid has been posted on a YouTube channel I follow showing how to upgrade G20 speakers, not sure if tuners are responding to the HK sound issue or just coincidence, but thought I'd post if someone doesn't get the HK sound they originally ordered, just as a possible option.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I get not wanting to know. I think wireless charging is less noticeable of an issue but for some people it's an important feature.

I am dithering about ordering a new lease for Mrs 225, mainly to capitalise on the used car prices bump. It's a Sept delivery though so just wondering how long this bubble will last as we won't be able to sell the current car until then, wbac increased their offer yet again today.

Well....the saga continues....my 330d order is now cancelled as they have removed the merino leather option for the sport pro.

I have specced an equivalent m340d, but the payment is £ 70 more per month and the balloon payment is a couple of grand higher and the car wouldn't be delivered until September at the earliest.

The only positive is that BMW have agreed to cover the lease payments on my current M2 until delivery of the new car.

What should I do?

I don't want to tell you what to do, but so I understand it right. they will cover your lease until the new car arrives. so to me I would go for upgraded engine at higher payment and get the features you want and drive your old car a few months longer for free.

did I get the situation right?

If you can afford the extra 70 a month then I'd do that, m340d spec and engine plus toys you want.
Also you could bank the lease payments you would have made for 3months and use that to cover the extra 70 quid if needs really be.

Sorry to hear about your issues here Alex. So just so I understand it, are they saying that the M340s specs are being protected but the 330 and I presume other cars in the range are having spec reductions? In your situation I’d be tempted to push for the 340d - as 225 says the 3 months of covering your M2 lease costs will go a long way to covering that. So frustrating all of this though

Yes, they are protecting M440i and M440d models. You can argue either way whether or not this is defensible, although if they only have so many parts then they have to differentiate some where. As higher speced models are higher cost and include options on other models as standard I can appreciate their thinking.

I'm not ordering anything whilst this is going on. Who knows what you'll end up with. Not a situation that you should be in with a new car.

agreed.i would do it too.

seems too good to be true I'm actually quite in shock your dealership would eat those costs.

Depends how much profit they are making on the new car. Three months lease payments could be small change. Sure they are not losing money on the deal.

I'd do the same though... bank the lease payments to offset the 70 and swallow the increased balloon payment.
