I can tell you that the optional M seats are fabulous in my M340i. They adjust every which way, including lumber up and down the back. They Start slightly wider to begin with than the std sport seats and feel just glorious. I never knew a seat could be so perfect.
I realise that every body is different in shape, but I can tell you the £950 is well spent speccing these in my opinion.
If anyone is looking at this option, I thoroughly recommend.

I don’t doubt they’re nice but it’s ridiculous to have to specify an option costing a grand to get seats that aren’t terrible.

I would have gone for them if they'd been available when I placed my order.

Don't think they've ever been an option on non M340 models. And you'd think they'd be standard on them too.

So pleased I have added those seats. People are right though, its crazy money and should they of just come standard in the M340?

I have cancelled the order. I was tempted to upgrade to the m340d, but delivery would be in the last quarter of this year and that seems ridiculous seeing as I ordered the original car on the 5th of Feb.

hmmmm!...I'll get a g21 one day!

Can't blame you.
Ordering a new car is an expensive thing to do, you want it "just right".

Similarly starting to get frustrated by continued delays, not helped by having to find anything out via the company car lease company who don't seem to chase up BMW that well and only pass on vague dates.

Anyone have a rough estimate for how far in advance builds are scheduled? Just to know when worth chasing again to find out if the current mid June estimate is real.

Small benefit at least of the webuyanycar quote for my current vehicle going up each week... suppose that's all related to these issues!

I thought the build week was pretty much locked in about a month before.

I wouldn't believe anything from webuyanycar! My experience wasn't good and I wouldn't go near them again.

As srbs73 says I understand the 'expected build week' as stated on BMW's IVRS system is normally pretty accurate. My order was originally going to be a wk 28 build but was brought forward a couple of weeks ago to a wk 26 build and has a VIN number and engine number allocated to it.

I see that on the bmw.co.uk site they have now updated the options list and HK is now not showing as part of the Tech Pack or Tech Pack Plus, however the price has not changed, there will be a lot of disappointed people, including myself, but the though of having a Brand New G21 is outweighing that disappointment, I guess not having HK in my current daily helps as I have never had it.......oh well, will hopefully get it in the next BMW

But for completeness it remains in the configurator for higher end models as does HK!

I tend to agree with your logic with this whilst I have a G22 at build and haven’t been notified of any spec omissions so far if it transpires that similar options get dropped I won’t be that bothered I would however be questioning the dealer for some ‘negotiation’ on invoice price on the principle of ‘shy bairns get nowt’ if nothing else!

Curiously before you add it the old price is quoted but it only charges a lower amount if you tick the box.

That makes more sense, seemed outrageous to charge full price when leaving out HK, which is £820 as a single option. As it is, they are reducing the price by £850, so that's something.

Yeah I know but in my case I have never had it, so I’m not going to miss it, if I had it in my current car then maybe I would think twice.

I agree with you here, and seeing the the price does drop when selecting other options as shown above, we will be able to get that price reduced, however Lille you. I am still waiting to hear if I have any spec omissions too, hey, we maybe end up lucky, crossing my fingers
