What wheels are on my m340i (and recs)

Hello everyone!

First time poster, long time lurker.

I just picked up a 2021 m340i RWD with almost every option I wanted. I’m in the car business, so I actually got a great deal even though inventories are suppressed with the chip shortages.

Ive researched here, and I can only find conflicting information. My vehicles came with the m792 wheel set with the Run flat all season square setup.

I obviously want to move to a staggered setup and Michelin PS4s.

Some people here swear that the 792 wheels are staggered even with the square tires (rears are 8.5). Some say the wheels are square when ordered with run flats. The dealer doesn’t even know!

Here are the questions:

1. Are the wheels staggered or not?
2. If they are not, would it be worth it to artificially stagger with tires (225 front, 235-245 rear).

I know I can order the 8.5 rears, but at that cost I might as well do a full set of wheels/tires.

Thank you for any info you can a provide!!’

If your rear tires match your fronts, then no your rims are not compatible with the staggered setup

The run-flat square set up comes with 19x8 wheels all around. Again you can tell by the tire width (225).

You would need to buy the wider wheels 19x8.5 for the rear if you want to run staggered. At first I was tempted to do so as well but when I saw the cost, figured it made more sense to go aftermarket and wider.

Thank you for the info guys!

So would it be worth it to artificially stagger, or just stay square and switch to PS4s?

So you have a square setup and 792m wheels?
I ordered 792m wheels on my 2021 M340 and it came with the square wheel setup, with a choice of black or gray wheels. I think the go-flat tire option might have staggered 792 wheels, but I’m not sure.

The width of the rims are usually marked at inside of one spoke (and BMW part number on another). Another way would be to compare the measurement front/back if you measure "through" the wheel. Or if you have the option code for the wheel setup you can search for it.
