Hey all,

Just placed my deposit and hold on a 2024 BMW M340xi "Special Edition" Apparently, only 600 special editions are made for the model year, and the window sticker was at $71,500. The dealership gave us $3000 off the window sticker. Not seeing too many posts about what people are paying for theirs. Any insight would be great thanks.

What is special about the “Special Edition”?

On the window sticker and options list it gives you the m performance exhaust as standard, and possibly the carbon fiber lip spoiler. Other than that I am not sure myself. If anyone else knows what else is included and can share the knowledge that would be great.

Picking up my 340 Special Edition in Black Carbon this weekend $77,140 MSRP got almost 5k off the sticker...

Very hard to get detailed info on these cars even the dealers dont know other than what the sticker says...car looks great though with the m-performance wheels and exhaust all black looks very mean

If anyone knows more about these please post

I've seen a few of the Special Editions listed online, but no mention of M Performance exhaust in the VIN decoder. Is it listed in yours?

77K and you're approaching M3 money, still a gap but if the aggressiveness of the 340 is your thing, I'd level up to the M3.

I would agree... at a $77k price point, I'd rather spend a little more and get the G80 M3.

I get that it was getting close to the m3 but rear drive model is not in the cards as i needed to be able to drive it year round in the northeast...and a fairly loaded m3 is in the mid 90's at least

It comes with Carbon grill and spoiler m-spec exhaust and m-spec forged rims

Plus got 5k discount and loyalty 2k so not too bad...

Still trying to find out what is so "special" regarding this edition of the car

grill wheels and exhaust are listed as additional accessories on the build sheet

Maybe...you can really option it the same without paying 2k for the "special" but the car does look awesome

Hi i just completed my shopping for one of these, i posted pics of my car here and if the MSRP is below 69k it doesnt have the exhaust and no carbon grill, 71,500 is with the exhaust and no carbon grill, 72,505 has both and one like mine 77,140 all of the above plus the forged motorsport wheels

Agree. Would rather get a slightly used M3 with low miles at those prices.

Didnt pay anywhere close to 77k for it got a 5k discount plus 2k rebate off the top
Plus they gave me equity of more than 5k on my leased 340 which was unexpected so i pulled the trigger

Still not understanding why this is considered special if those additional parts can be installed individually on a fully loaded spec — the difference of course being that it comes installed from factory.

On the M3 front - it’s not for everyone and for DD probably an overkill. But yeah, I agree that this “special edition” comes with a steep asking price.

Ask for the build sheet from the sales person they will happily send you one, all the options are outlined there
