I love oyster - I don’t clean mine often, wear jeans, and it holds up fine. A wipe now and then and it looks like new again. I was wary of it, and yes, when it was new I did notice a slight transfer of jeans dye, but it wiped off and since then I’ve been using leather wipes I’ve not had a recurrence. I find none oyster interiors dark and closed in, and I don’t like the cognac at all. I’d go grey if I had to, but have ordered oyster again on my next car.

I ordered the Oyster interior for my 2023 sanremo green 440i convertible. I saw one in person and it is nice. The cognac sensatec is also nice but seemed a little orange to me. I don't wear jeans so I'm happy with that color choice. We have two dark blue Volvos and one has a beige interior with peforated nappa leather and it is nice and airy. I also owned a dark blue 911 4s with the chalk leather interior and it held up well after 5 years. Light interiors are nice IMO. Cool in the summers and not claustrophobic.

Have oyster on my M340, had It on my X5, wouldn't have anything else. With only two exceptions (black), I have always had light interiors. Never had a problem keeping them looking new.
Yes, I had two daughters, but they learned an automobile is not a kitchen or playground. Today both have BMWs, and are also kept clean.

My car has the oyster interior and has just turned 11,000 miles. It’s held up very well, I clean it every other wash so twice a month. I generally use Autogleam leather balm to condition it and only use actual leather cleaner if there’s specific mark.

I’d follow the same regimen on any leather interior, I spend 2+ hours weekly on car care and the leather clean is roughly 15 minutes but seems worth it.

You are so right - leather care takes a few minutes and keeps it looking good…hate seeing dried out dull interiors!
