I changed my order to black with blue stitching after seeing oyser / blue combo in person.
It looks border line beige and is not what thought it would be. I hate beige interiors! I had silverstone interior on my M3 and it looked brand new after 3 years of ownership. If you keep up with it, you have nothing to worry about.

I have had my Tanzanite Blue with Oyster interior for about a week now, could not be happier. I think one thing that helps is that we cannot get the ventilated seats. All those little holes in the seat really makes it hard to clean.

Yes. I used to own an X3 with Oyster. It is a lovely combination with dark trims. But bluing with jeans was a minor issue. Never stained, but it did require periodic wipe-downs to keep things looking new.
I've had good luck with most of Adam's products, so I used their leather cleaner... https://adamspolishes.com/collection...terior-cleaner Last edited by Delta5; 08-01-2019 at 09:51 PM.. |

I had Oyster in my f34 and loved it. Got a bit grubby - mainly off 'her' jeans - in the first few weeks but a clean and condition and it was zero maintenance subsequently.
If I had ordered my g20 from new I would 100% gone with it again (with a dark silver paint), so much nicer than the drab black I ended up with. |

I for the most part have decided on oyster interior. I don't see many people on the forum with this color. I am thinking of going with a Mineral White/Oyster combo and black out everything else. Its been a long time since I owned a white car.

Six months oyster interior with open pore oak here. Portimao on the outside. Looks great. Had beige Volvo V60 before. Looked great after 150.000km and seven years.
I do often wear jeans and dark blue chinos and oyster vernasca on G20 needs much more maintenance than beige "Ocean race" leather on V60. The difference is in the texture of the leather. Smooth leather (albeit also of lower quality, same as vernasca) rubs a lot less colour off the pants than embossed leather like vernasca. |

I have had oyster for 3 years in my M240. Has held up great. Just clean it regularly.

Not Oyster, but I have Full Ivory White in my M340i. It's protected with Gyeon Quartz Leather Shield. Holding up pretty well after 1.5 months.
Only needs a wipe down with a wet towel every few weeks. Just have to be more careful of what people wear when they sit in the car. No denim or dirty clothes (obviously!). |

I have read mixed reviews from people about jeans... most seem to say, yes, there can be transfer but it wipes off and "looks like new". Others say, "no denim." I wear jeans a lot myself. And how am I supposed to control what other people are wearing? It seems like to some reviewers this is no big deal, but I do not want to have to choose my wardrobe or police who can/can't ride in my car (ie, coworkers, over lunch) because of my interior choice. I am not one who is rigorous about cleaning my car in general, but I could certainly handle wiping down the seats with a cleaner every couple of weeks... (And it would definitely bother me if they ended up actually stained.) So I am trying to figure out, if it is a given that there is going to be plenty of denim in the car, is Oyster a bad idea? |

There is color transfer, much more than on my earlier Volvo, but still, the pleasant interior of oyster color more than makes up for it! |

Follow up since I've had the car 10 months... I regret oyster. Wife is primary driver and wears jeans typically. It is not easy to maintain. Stitching changes color, vernasca coarse surface holds onto color, and overall it's just annoying to me. I love the color combo with my tanzanite blue but no question not worth it. Second choice was a tie mocha vs black/blue stitching.

I had oyster in my f34 and loved it….much nicer than the dreary black in my G20.
When the oyster was brand new there was a bit of colour transfer from my good lady’s jeans but it just wiped off. Stopped doing it fairly quickly for reasons 8c snot explain. Don’t worry about the oyster - I have lived with it and am going lighter in my 840…Ivory Extended Merino!< How is that for a recommendation! Oyster with Estoril Blue was a gorgeous combination on my f34 by the way! |

I've always had light interiors, and they all held up very well. Cream Beige, Ivory, Oyster, what I liked is that I always knew where/when to clean.
If you only want to clean every 6 months instead of "when needed", go dark

I also prefer the ivory and beige seats. Regarding blue jeans, using a good leather cleaner and conditioner is a must. I use Adams and Chenmucal Guys products for both

"The oyster does look good on blue. I think that I made my decision. TB II and Oyster interior,"
Hi PandaMobile: I am obsessed with color. Oyster is a classy, elegant contrast to the BMW blues. Your TB II is going to look great. I've had my Oyster Vernasca with Phytonic Blue Metallic for 4 months. Every day, when I start up my ride, I am so happy. Oyster also gives you the feel of having a bigger interior. As far as jeans or dirt, just use baby wipes. No problems at all, and the color in my 330i looks cream with a very faint gray undertone, so that's another reason why it looks good with the exterior blues and the inside blacks and metals. Good luck choosing! |
