Stays that way, too. But no we haven't seen that issue.

Traditional Orange in the X6. But blue in the M340i. The family was bored with the orange. I wanted the orange but the family voted me out. lol.

Hmm, maybe I'm wrong then. I know someone on here before mentioned their Blue Ridge Mountain was set to green when they picked it up and I had a Portimao loaner that was set to blue, so I just assumed that was the case.

All I know is that I have tried a few different color variations and I always end up with blue. It looks the best to me and I like how it matches the blue stitch work on my leather seats and dash. Blue brake calipers as well!
I think my second favorite is lilac. |

I'm in the same boat. The blue looks best with the stitching on my seats, but I sometime switch to bronze/orange since it matches the rest of the buttons. Be awesome if when you changed the ambient lighting the window switches/other buttons changed colors to match!

At last, I could find a couple of hours in the dark to do some tests ... fitting everything to find some time is always a mess.
I haven't never fully liked the standard color combinations: - the white is way too pure white (the plain #FFFFFF isn't used long since as too cold and simple) - green and lilac have no reason to be, being completely out of any BMW tradition (they better look in the Alpina palette) - the intensity is still quite low, especially in the door pockets (and in the bottle compartment the LED is also placed in a very stupid position) - there is no way to visually coordinate the M colors (hellblau GLASURIT-BMW 5002 "Bayerisch blau", violet GLASURIT-BMW 4000, rot GLASURIT-BMW 353 "Texaco red"). However in the end the result is this: - main lighting in red ///M (#F11A22, recalibrated to #FF0A0A to compensate the Hella RGB LEDs... reliable but a little German in the color profiles) - footwells in blue/purple ///M (I kept the #0020FE of the standard profiles because the #2B115A turns to be very dark, almost invisible ... maybe you can work a little more to find a compromise) - handles, pockets and door bottle holders in light blue ///M (#0080FE although the original recipe says # 0080C9) - bronze yellow ceiling lights (the standard #D76E14 is perfect, having a ΔE* as far from the climate / button lighting orange as the bmw red) All this while working in 360A/LIC_LCI_COLOR_LIBRARY_DATA. Unfortunately, the pics do not show well the actual tones, even cause the dark parts (door panels, carpets) do not reflect much... and having shot with the S9 which is not much in the color rendering in the dark. However you can have a glance. Then, as a sporty option, I made an all-red, darker than all-orange (already in the standard profiles) just enough to make it different from the buttons lighting albeit coordinated... just by touching a bit the 360D/LIC_LCI_COLOR_PROFILES_DATA

So my wife and I finally got around to creating a separate profile for her. We'd been using a combo of one for me and the "Guest" profile this whole time. When I created this profile, the ambient light defaulted to Bronze. Interesting!
So I guess this implies someone else test-drove the car before us and selected Blue. Or, the color is random. OR, it simply chose a different color from the other profiles.

Based on what wrickem mentioned above, I guess the default is bronze. I was incorrect.
