If you look at some 2021 M340i's on the market already, they are MHEVs. For example:
https://www.elmhurstbmw.com/inventor...5u9j0xm8b50316

Are they producing some with MHEV and some without? Seems bizarre and unlikely.

It is confusing. My 2021 M340i (manufactured in July 2020) is not MHEV, as you can read earlier. I was told M340i MHEV will be available from November production onwards. Maybe some markets have it already (those manufactured in Mexico?), I for sure didn’t get one.

Yes, could be that Mexico builds are MHEV already (the car in the link based on the VIN is a Mexico build), while European builds are not. Strange given the more stringent EU emission standards.

I wish BMW would communicate more effectively on this so that we know what we are buying!

Holą PeyoM340i

I had a look at the link you shared, but couldn't see a clear statement about the vehicle being MHEV.
Could you please share which line is indicating that the vehicle is equiped with MHEV?

Also, found this video giving a bit more details about MHEV:

Thanks for the video.

In the link I sent, if you go to "Vehicle Details" and click on "Mechanical" it says "Hybrid Electric Motor" and also references regenerative braking. But yes, strange that they don't just outright call it MHEV. Maybe because a lot of people (on this forum) are unhappy with MHEVs because of the lack of ASS.

Hello there,

My car has arrived at dealer and I was able to see it and take few pics.
Sales rep had told me it wouldn't be MHEV, but looking at the EU certificate of conformity, I see several indications that make me believe it is the case:
- 155g CO2 NEDC (vs 162 on order form)
- hybrid/gasoline mentioned
- no start/stop button on the central console

I really like the sport wheels, I wanted the too but the roads around this way would chew them up! They look great, jealous!

Looks great! Reminds me of the new U.K. spec. Jaguar XE-S 3.0 Supercharged i had for four months in 2016 before legally rejecting it due to continual and unfixable problems with its InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. It looked great in British Racing Green with 20” alloys though!

A few new photos. Still very cool. New tires though, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Got rid of Pirelli runflats. Bastuck sports exhaust with OEM exhaust tips.

Looking good indeed - and I guess the Bastuck made the sound even better?

Thanks, Bastuck made the sound deeper on idle and low RPM (left/right exhaust is open). A valve opens on both sides at around 3000rpm adding more character to the sound.

Due to OPF/PPF it's not too loud (well cold start is VERY loud), it's a little louder than stock but what I like is the tone. For someone it may sound a little more mild than expected, but that's due to OPF/PPF...

Quality is excellent and everything fit up just right. I opted a version to retain OEM exhaust tips (no quad exhaust for me, thanks).

Stunning colour and wheels! I remember loving Malachite Green back in the Eighties when the colour was available on the E28 5-Series. As I’ve said before, it’s not dissimilar to the British Racing Green Jaguar XE-S I had for four months in 2016 before legally rejecting it due to constant problems with the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system and other build quality issues…

Beautiful.

How's the ride on those 20s? I've been lusting after the 795M wheels but I feel like I'd need coilovers too to balance out the harshness of casual driving.
