My non-M sport 330i also doesnt have a sport+ mode but someone apparently has coded it in their G20 330i.

Yup. Older (F30) cars had a sport+ mode I believe?

No, new Sport+ is an actual setting for the trans/engine, not just traction off.

Haven’t checked it out in my 330i yet. Our cars don’t have launch control? I’ve seen videos where European G20 330is had launch control.

I still haven’t checked mine out because it’s freezing cold and slippery here. I’ll have to wait for a few months for it to warm up to check it out.

All automatic, non-M (not M340i, M550i etc) BMWs have steptronic transmission correct? The ZF box. Or is steptronic the DCT transmission? I ask because only Audis with DSG have launch control built in whereas the ones with ZF don’t have launch control (only brake boosting).
I tried it in my NA G20 330i and there was no launch control. I could brake boost it to around 3k rpms before taking off. It wasn’t a true launch control like in my A4. And there was no indication of launch control enabled on the live cockpit. Does anyone know if LC can be coded into the NA 330i since European cars have it?

Unless I'm mistaken, Steptronic transmission is the only automatic transmission offered in North America. I think he meant requires Steptronic versus manual which is likely available in his country.

Ahhh. That makes sense. I thought bmw pulled a quick one and maybe offered a DCT there. Like how Audi does.
