Hello everyone. I bought a US spec vehicle in Germany, and when I was building the vehicle I asked for the euro maps. Once the car was delivered they said that, for some odd reason, they were not able to put euro maps on the M340i xDrive.

Is there anyone else out there that has euro maps with no issues?

Same on my order. I asked about a week ago and apparently they are not yet available. I dont understand why, but they said they would contact me once they are available.

I was told not to try to load them on mine because they were having issues with the car accepting it.

Quite strange. How is this any different than taking European delivery and asking BMW to temporarily activate European maps?

Something about them having difficulty loading euro maps for the g20. I mean I'm glad CarPlay works for the phone maps but kinda bummed about this.

So I had a talk with the SA this weekend and I pressed the issue, I mean Navigation is really tied up to all the car systems, and for us, why would I buy a 50k+ car with no nav, using my phone. At least my accord has a Garmin..

Anyway they said that as soon as they get the car they'll run it to see if it will accept it.

On another note the car missed its delivery window so now im looking at a later delivery. Bummer

The car has to be recoded to Euro region, all new fsc entered and than you can load the Euro maps. No dealer will do that.

Pretty much just offering the US Maps, because that's the only map that will load from what I am told

BMW is getting lazy if you ask me. We are in the second model year and still nothing.

I took delivery of my M340i in Munich on July 4th. According to the sales person, it was the first M340i he had done and perhaps the first US spec car in Munich. The maps were not loaded on the GPS but instead a USB drive was given to me that contained all the map date for Europe. My wife and I used these maps and drove 980 miles visiting 7 countries along the way. Worked perfect!

So like, it ran the maps OFF the USB device ? Can you zip the contents of that drive and share it?

I took delivery of my 2020 US Spec M340 in Munich on July 12. European maps were loaded on a USB drive which was in USB between the cup holders.

We put 1300 miles on the car and Nav worked well except for a 2 day interlude when it didn't function at all (we used good old Google Maps). After leaving car parked for a few days while we toured Budapest, it then came back & worked fine.

ask for this part 65902560755 on your full VIN Number, then ask them to download a HuH3 Map for Europe on a 64GB stick make sure "for instaling on the head unit" is marked when copying on the stick.
Then on the stick make a folder called "FSC" and paste inside all that the ZIP called 65902560755 (its the initial code for Europe) contains in that folder.

Yes the USB Maps work, however if you remove the USB from the connector it will stop working completely.

Its not perfect but works 90% of the time.

I took delivery of my M340i in Munich on 15th November. I reached there so early, I had to wait 10 mins for the door to be opened. I got my car delivered before the place got crowded.

About the maps, I too got a BMW USB stick with European map in it. Worked for about 60% of the time, unreliable for the most part. There was no pattern to it, resetting iDrive helped sometimes but not always. I believe leaving the car parked in a place with good cell reception got it working. I tried getting in touch with BMW customer care, but explaining them the problem with a US car in Germany was tough. Eventually I had to use Car play.

RSnic, I'm in asimilar situation, I just got my X6, US specs, with US maps but need the European ones, for now. I'm in the Military and Live in Germany,but Munich will not sell me the USB as it is for customer picking up their vehicles there, will you be willing to sell me your USB stick with the European Maps?

First an foremost, as an Army vet, I thank you for your service!

I would be glad to, BUT unfortunately, I forgot to take the USB out when I left the car at the shipper site in Munich.

I used to get map updates for my F30 from someone for $50; I downloaded from a site he provided. Try this address: admin%bmwnavcodes.com (change out % for @ -- have to do this to post). Not sure if he can help or if he's still around, but it's worth a shot

Last resort you could always ask one of the military sales shops if they can help you out...

I wish I had a USB for you, but they (Bavarian Motor Cars) loaded the EU maps on the car when I purchased it.

Ik heb net een M4 uit 2015 mee naar Nederland genomen vanuit de US en wil nu graag de EU navigatiemappen op mijn auto installeren. Zou jij me in de goede richting kunnen wijzen hoe ik dit kan doen/ begrijp ik dat jij die hebt?
