Staggered wheel setup on a classical sedan looks wrong, especially when the rear tire is razor thin to compensate for the larger rear wheel.

Well that's been going on since the M4 GTS.... and it WORKED... making the rear more planted.

FUNCTION OVER FORM ? …. or will your G80 only see the Cars and Coffee scene?

At any rate.. this is a cosmetic appearance decision that any owner can easily change.

Not saying it doesn't work and on a coupe it doesn't look so off. I just don't like the way it looks on the sedan body. Performance difference for 99% of drivers would not be noticeable.

Not if it is a mesh or perforated in some way to allow air to pass through.

Another perhaps even simpler solution would be to black out parts of the lower portion of the bumper to make the lower part of the grill look like a more conventional intake. In fact, once pictures of the production car are available, I'll bet we see people create some mockups of different ideas.

In any case, we're not talking about a difficult modification. Its really just changing the shape and appearance of a hole in the front of the car. Like I say, if there is demand, the aftermarket will address it.

Love the wheels, looks like they improved the exhaust over Fxx models. Less saggy. It 's a shame under the bonnet just an ocean of plastics. Simular like X3M
With those super sporty bucket seats we've seen in the past. Should be killer

I guess we have very different definitions of what classical and elegant looks like, and there isn't really anything in BMW's line-up that fits that mold to me, especially not a car based on a mid-range 3/4 series that has been molded to be the exact opposite of classical and elegant.

Classical and elegant in the sense of the M3 having the same profile as a generic 320d, which was designed to look good while comfortably carrying people around with cabin room and a useful trunk, i.e. a conservative elegant sedan design in a user-friendly package (which has been the whole point of most M cars, at least up until now, being M versions of regular cars instead of standalone exotic supercars). Throwing in sportier bumpers, larger wheels and a few vents here and there does not fundamentally change the profile's proportions from 320d to M3, which is why an M3 profile looks great with large wheels indeed but preferrably same diameter

Front seems very high. Four finger gap. That is a big loose area of 4 fingers.

Wheels seem to look ok. Weird how front is concave.

It looks the wheel combo is not the best option for it.
