Anyone in Orange County, CA w/ Dinan or MPE (M340)

I wanted to hear these two exhaust in person and would like to see if anyone in my area would be down to meet up. Lunch is on me!

I used to live in the IE but now live up in the bay. I do frequently travel back to LA/IE often so if you still want to hear an MPE, I’m down to meet up.

I'm surprised on how tamed the Dinan turned out. Hopefully it'll be a little louder once I get a downpipe. I heard MPE isn't as loud as Dinan. That might be a little too quiet for my liking. I also powder coated the Dinan tips gloss black to cover the logo. It looks better with the gloss black diffuser.

The Dinan exhaust system is engineered with the daily driver in mind, providing a balanced upgrade that is not overly loud or aggressive, just slightly more potent than the stock system.

For some enthusiasts, this subtle enhancement is the ideal mix. However, others may prefer to add a catted downpipe to amplify the sound further, giving the car a more robust presence.

I'll reach out once I'm ready for the catted downpipe!

For what it's worth I have the Dinan with a catless DP and it's perfect, sound-wise. With the valves closed, It's VERY tame. Not too far off from stock unless you put your foot into it, then it doesn't sound too much different from valves open. With the valves open, I get compliments from people left and right about how good my car sounds. The whistle from the turbine side of my turbo is also quite loud if you're behind me.

My only gripe is that they re-used the stock midpipes. I would have gladly paid extra for a full exhaust. And as of lately, I've noticed that the exhaust has been causing the midpipes to sag and rattle against the center exhaust support, which also caused the bracket on my downpipe to crack at the welds. I've got everything adjusted as perfectly as I can possibly get it, so I'm not sure why everything would be starting to sag roughly 6 months after install.

How bad is the smell from the catless DP? I want to hear a mild hybrid M340 w/Dinan & w/catless DP. I definitely want to hear the turbo a bit more.

If you run regular pump gas, the smell is terrible. On ethanol mixes at or above above 40% I hardly notice it.

Personally, I do not think it is that bad. Even on 93. Maybe I'm just used to it. You definitely smell it at red lights with the windows down, but regular driving with windows up it is fine.
