It’s not like with the M5 and M2, where the Comp models had serious flaws that they fixed.
Living in Chicagoland my concern is the temperature with CCBs on the daily driving. Thanks in anticipation for your feedback that can help me to clarify my concerns

If you track your car, you would be very foolish to get CCB. They won't last probably a good full season, let alone multiple seasons, and are hugely expensive to replace after, like $14k or something. Its a good option for those that just drive around on the street. Also, for the cost of CCB, well, maybe just a little bit more, you can get AP racing brakes that will destroy the stock CCB in performance and cooling, plus save the 13kg in weight as well. Racing M4 GT4 car uses those and not CCB so that says more than enough about their performance.

So like someone else said, to me, getting the CCB is for peacocking and not actually using the car to the full potential it was meant for. No offense. 😊 Not too mention that you can still buy maintenance warranty if you don't get CCBs.

Buying a 3800lb 4-door car for use as a primary track car isn’t a smart use of money.

The CCBs aren’t for peacocking, it’s for adding feel by reducing unsprung mass, which is the point of buying the CS over the Comp.

I was torn between red or gold callipers on this exact spec. Ended up going for red because I think it matches the theme of the car

Who said as a primary. It could be a daily that gets tracked monthly. isn't that the point of the m3. It's a daily that can be tracked pretty much when ever you want. My bro in his g80 is pretty fast on the track. We usually get a way by from a Porsche or two during the sessions. Nothing more satisfying than taken down something faster on the track. Plus street driving becomes kinda meh when you've experienced a track event. That adrenaline shot is just so so good.

I also wanted red but the car god dealt me gold. At least I’ll know that gold are CCB. Red can mean regular brakes as well. At least this is what I tell myself to sleep at night lol.

Haha, not a bad outcome really, I have gold on my f80cs and it looks great. Can’t wait to see some pics!

No way they will only make 370. Think that is so far one for each dealer. The f80 CS was 608 for the US. Just noticing the amount of orders from people we will get closer to that number.

Anyone have line of sight on whether they plan to lower their CS'? If so, what set up. In the few pictures I've seen spacers and lowering springs seem like a must have but wouldn't want to ruin the stock suspension specs - In particular, I hear you don't want to mess with the factory dampers...

Thoughts greatly appreciated...

Not lowering mine. Lowered my f8x CS and now I think back and wonder why I did. Didn’t drive the same after and I basically wasted my money on the suspension tune which I paid a premium for.

Love how my cheeky sales advisor has stuck in the ceramic coating into the quote when I didn’t even agree to it, nor was I informed they even apply one 🤭

Also they’re charging me for…… oil? 😆

Also told him I’ll be supplying my own plates, still decided to charge me for a supply and fit 🤭

Dealers eh?

I'm week 39. Week 23 seems so soon. 😂 Luckily, I'll be enjoying one more full season with the current f80 CS while I'm waiting for the g80.
