BMW which app?

Hi All,

Does the MyBMW app now replace the BMW connected app? I have iPhone and was just wondering if I should have both or just one?

Also when I connect my iPhone to the BMW iDrive 7 do I connect with bluetooth and also wifi or just bluetooth? I use CarPlay mostly.

Yes MyBMW replaced the old connected drive app. For CarPlay it uses both Bluetooth and Wi-fi.

Read somewhere that BMW Connected will be turned off on 30th June.
The plan is to have moved all functionality to myBMW by then (if its not already).

I haven’t used the Connected app now for months.

Android phones have been having issues with the my BMW app crashing.
Read this in the Playstore comments regarding My BMW.

And yes the old app is discontinued from 30th June
