Services in Naperville?

I purchased a vehicle at Bill Jacobs in Naperville and will pick it up 1/3 for a 300 mile journey home.

Ultimately I’d like to do a ceramic coating and some PPF in the key areas, and I worry a bit about the trip home.

Does anyone have a good service provider in that area that might be able to put in some work before the trip? It is possible I’m over thinking this. Holidays and cold weather are surely an issue as well.

Typically the PPF would go on prior to the ceramic work, correct?

I've heard good things about TST and Auto Smart in Naperville. I personally haven't gotten anything done from there though. Alternatively, you can ask your sales executive at Bill Jacobs where they send their cars before delivery. I've seen an M3C there that had the full works before delivery.

And yes. Paint correction first (even if it rolled off the factory floor), then PPF on top of that and ceramic coating on the PPF.

Good idea, just reached out.

Honestly I think they're tired of me. They weren't terribly inclined to facilitate a remote buy in this climate, and when I bumped their commission to January for MO property tax purposes it didn't get any better.

Good folks though, helpful and had the product I wanted.

Off topic, but congrats on the purchase. Wife got her car at Bill Jacobs, and I can’t recommend them enough.

Thanks. I am anxious meet them and pick up the car.

Came from a car sales family amongst other things, really feel bad for the main salesman that helped me locally. I think I’m gonna grab him a thank you and a nice gift card. Wanted to shop with him and the dealership but they couldn’t get the product.

I just bought my M340i from Bill Jacobs too. They seemed like they wanted to be helpful on the phone then would never follow up with me. I was in a similar spot where I asked a lot of questions, wanted to make sure everything was perfect, etc….felt like they were getting annoyed. Upon taking delivery the car was perfect, but overall the salesman wasn't good and the dealership was pretty meh overall. Didn't even get a follow up call asking how I liked my new $70k car. Kinda disappointed overall but I can't complain too much because I got the exact car I wanted without special ordering.

To answer your question, I asked about window tinting and they just said no they can't get it done for me. Seemed odd since most dealers have relationships with tint shops and just mark up the prices.

I talked to TST and it seems they do work for Bill Jacobs, but the relationship isn't a long one at this point. He said BJ sells 2 different paint protection packages so I can have the dealer quote it and go from there to be done by pickup.

That being said, I reached out to my sales guy and I'm 99% sure he's done with me at this point. Doubt I get a response, and if so I'll throw some track wrap on the critical spots just for the ride home. I'm sure it'd be fine without but I've also been down the rock chip road before. I inquired about having TST do it after I pick the vehicle up, and I can spend the night. Nope, all booked up.

If you aren't staying in Naperville long enough, I'd suggest track wrap as well. They'll definitely need the car for a few days. Plus holidays and setting up an appointment. It'll be easier to get it done where you live. Wrap the front and wheel arches along with the front part of the roof near the front windshield. You should be good.
