Front camera at junctions

Since the latest OTA I’ve noticed that when using the front camera at junctions you get a red bar on the left or right to indicate warnings of oncoming vehicles.

Is this new? I’ve never noticed it before.

(Although it’s not a function that I use /that/ often - mostly when there’s a badly parked van obscuring the view).

I have a g30 , 3 months old that came with the 2022/11 software and that has it

Maybe it was an addition with later software? Was your software updated recently hence just noticing it maybe?

Indeed - like I said I’ve only noticed it since the last OTA, but perhaps it was there before and I just hadn’t twigged the red warnings at the edges of the picture.

I tend to only use that function when attempting to navigate out of my driveway and have that set as an automatic activation point. The road however is a single lane dead-end so very rarely anything coming for it to alert on.

I'll keep an eye out though, thanks... although not the greatest of warnings if we've not even noticed it

Just hit the camera button at a junction, then there's an option to remember the location and always use the front camera there.

(I presume all G2x cars have a front camera at least, even if they don't have the driving and parking pro packs?)

Think the front camera (in the grill rather than the one on the windscreen) is only on cars with DAP.

No, I meant the camera in the grill, above the number plate.
The radar is lower down under the number plate, isn't it?

Definitely not new. '69 plate M340i and I recall the oncoming traffic warning being there as long as I can remember.
