Hello! For those of you that have finally received your vehicles, how long did it end up taking from the date you ordered or date it went into production? I ordered a 22 330e m-sport last week and the dealer told me 60 days max, but after reading through some threads, I’m starting to think it’s not going to make it before the end of the year. Think it’s still a possibility?

60 days is mid December, essentially the end of the year. It’s all a crap shoot. I’ve seen some get their cars in 10 weeks and some have waited 4 months.
Have you read all of the threads regarding delays in the ordering process? Better do a shot of Jack before you go deep into them. Don’t believe anything the dealer tells you regarding timing. |

2. Press F12 in Chrome to bring up the dev panel 3. Select network and the Fetch/XHR button 4. Refresh the page 5. Find the forward requests. You have to click through them to fine the one. 6. Expand the dataContent section to find the vehicle info 7. Profit. |

In other news I still don't have the RAM. The recall page still shows Open, however the sales guy emailed me saying that the car left Veracruz yesterday and it's expected to get to Galveston in 5 days. He still doesn't know when it will be retrofitted but hopefully soon. Maybe BMW decided to move the car because they expect the part to be available or maybe they run out of storage space in the factory.

Also if you install the web inspector extension for safari on the App Store you can check your network requests on your phone too. I'm in the Glovis Corona!

But I know. Still at least it's going to be a 4hr truck ride away not in another country so when it get's the parts hopefully it'll take less to get to the dealer. Also it's been sitting in Mexico assembled for more then 5 weeks now so I'm hoping I'm not too far down on the list by now. We'll see. |

I just locked down a M340i that’s affected by this. Was either deal with this, get one that’s in Germany yet or settle for options I don’t like. Hope I made the right choice. Good luck!

Hey guys. Im at the port in Germany
waiting to get on a ship. 3 days so far. Anyone know the average time spent there before boarding a ship? My port of entry will be Bayonne NJ. That’s where the VPC is. Thanks! |

Go to Wallenius Willhelmsen website and K-Line website and check the schedules for boats leaving Bremerhaven. That will give you some idea of at lease potentially what ship you’ll be on. You won’t actually know until you’re on the ship for 2 days.

Just checked the recall tool and my RAM issue shows "closed". BMW website still shows "at the port", but really hope it isn't a glitch. Today marks 4 weeks in Baltimore. Progress maybe?????

Thanks, man. Very useful info. There are several ships leaving Bremerhaven in my the next few weeks. One as early as this Friday, one next week and 2 the week after that. Just wondering how they manage the time moving the car from arrival at the port to boarding the ship. Probably, a logistics challenge.

The M340i I secured last night is sitting at the Baltimore port. If the 'actual production date' is 8/27/21, does that mean it's been sitting at the port for quite some time?

I think the production date on mine is 9/6 and it's being moved now to Galveston after sitting in Mexico for 5 weeks. It's unclear if they will have the part for it when it arrives or it's going to sit there for another 5 weeks. As I understand others saw their car moved to a VDC quickly after the build only to sit there for weeks. I'm trying to be optimistic and also remember that this is a ridiculously complicated logistic situation and I hope they'll catch up soon. |
