I just ordered my m340i and I am looking to enhance the rear end with the GTS clear sequential tail lights, but I am looking for a reputable brand since there are a ton out there with different pricing. Bimmerplug looks to be the most expensive and reputable but if anyone has experience with these lights it would be super helpful! These were the ones I was thinking of getting

I feel like its a hit or miss with these. Some people say they just dropship from alibaba etc and mark up the prices, some say fitment is an issue sometimes. I mean I might go with Vland since people say companies like Bayoptiks dropship from them and its half the cost. I need to do more research. I may or may not just skip out on these in general and put my money towards something else

90% of these are drop shipped. Quality, like you said is hit or miss. I personally do not mess with these tail lights because out of the 5 people I know with these tail lights, 4 of them have had condensation within the first month. So I guess it's luck of the draw with which manufacturer has the best "quality control".

I’m betting most of them didn’t replace the vent patches with Goretex ones. I did, no issues for over a year now. Pretty sure xnick101 has had the same results as well as he is the one that recommended I use them.

Not a fan of clear tail light housings, looks like a toyota/honda IMHO, it looks cheap and weird on a BMW.

I don’t know, don’t really care. So many companies claim they don’t but then they do. Main reason I went with someone in the states is because if I had an issue with them in the first year, I can deal with Bayoptiks versus having to deal with the hassle of China.

I also bought from vland and replaced the patches with gortex ones like jpowers said. I have not had any condensation since I bought them like 6 months ago.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but where do you find the existing vent patches?

The vent patches are on the back side somewhere. I can’t recall exactly where. They have several models out now and several companies sell them, so I’m not sure if they’re all the same.
