For those who have already ordered, did you now how firm prices confirmed by BMW?

I ordered before pricing came out, but that’s what happens when you’re first in line.

I’ve ordered an AMG E55, and a 911s before where allocations were 8-10 months away and pricing wasn’t available yet.

I ordered a 2012 650i right after I saw it at the Detroit Auto Show in 2011 and pricing wasn’t available on that one either.

So...you just did a down payment and agreed on a discount off MSRP?

On this one just a $500 deposit. This is my 4th car with the same CA. We’ll do the deal later. I don’t advise that for everyone.

With all the early productions - when do you guys expect delivery? End of march? 4-5 weeks is usual from germany.
My concern is - the new practice BMW instituted with x7. Cars were prodiced and then held at qc and later delivered to dealers in february but not allowed to be released to customers till March 1

What is the official bmw m340 release date?

"Official"'production is listed to start on March 20 but many Ie mine is sched for 3/10? Add days for prod, sitting at the port and shipping to west coast, not going to see mine until late April or early May (with a variable for port holds etc).

I’m now working on a ED for mid to later June but my CA is still trying to figure out how to do it.

If I’m not mistaken, the car needs to be paid for before ordering for ED

My production date is March 7 so delivery by mid April makes sense. But llaym5 is right. BMW could hold it up until an official release date. I haven’t found any mention of the release date yet.

Does anyone know if EPA approval has been granted to the m340i? I wasn't able to find it on fueleconomy.gov

It must be paid for before you leave to go pick it up. There’s no need to pay when it’s ordered.

Ok,
I think i figured it out on lighting. There are 2 ambient lighting levels. BMW screwed up and called them the same. It is not


563 is basic not really ambient lighting and it is a standard feature. it only lights up the foot well.

4UR - is real ambien lighting - like in the new X5 that an be changed in colors through menu and gives you blinking red doors when open.


adding Venasca Leather and ZPX means you can add 4UR

It is included in the executive pack at no cost

Correct/ As long as you show 4UR on your order - you are all set. test it in a new X5 - all dealers should have them - it is pretty impressive

The Pricing Guide is unclear about Ambient lighting - not so much what it is (thanks to Ilyam5 for a better description of 563 and 4UR) - but does 4UR cost $250 extra, when Vernasca Leather and ZPX are chosen. I placed an order today for a M340ix that included the Executive Package and Vernasca Leather. CA thought that 4UR added $250. I sensed that he wasn't exactly sure about this .. but we'll find out soon.

4UR Ambient Lighting is listed under ZPX. There is no additional cost.

I have a VIR for my "draft" build; the order has not yet been placed.

I also have leather and ZPX, but 4UR is not listed under ZPX (only the other 4 items are under ZPX). It is listed as a separate option at $250.

From looking at the configurator, it seems you cant get ZPX without leather. But if you buy leather without ZPX you have to take 4UR

Order placed!

I was advised by the dealer that they were unable to order ZTK with 1PN (19" M Double-spoke jet black wheels, style 791M w/high-performance non rft), and that 1PV (19" M Double-spoke cerium grey wheels, style 792M) is the only possible option in their system when ZTK is selected. Anyone else encounter that?

Mine is with grey wherls as well. Did they find out exactly wahts in thar pack?

FYI I had concern about the loss
of trunk space with non run flats. Anyone else consider that? Got the run flats because of this.....
