BEAUTIFUL BMW you have done it. This is so upscale and the paint is amazing. AMAZING. I take this one and the M3.

Better than I could have imagined.

Just as I imagined it. It looks slanted, w a nice texture to the grill. Renders were pretty far off. Glad it looks this way. Seriously looks great. Very pleased w how it came out. M3's tend to look way better so I cannot wait.

I LOVE BMW and the NEW GRILL... MAKES THE F80/82 look old and geriatric. :happy anim:
The render wasn't that far off dude.

This is the concept and how would the real one turn out?
...Just like this, minus the chrome, 21" wheels and Tron mirrors.

Much much better than i feared! The roofline is still not for me, but everything else is better than the 8, less cluttered, less busy og way more Clean and sporty.
Great jobb from BMW!
This concept is 85% of the finished product, what to you think is going to be changed?
And the colour, let's have that as a option, remindes me of Imola, a classic dark Red from the glory days!

The curves and the edges met with such purpose in previous BMW designs, this however seems like a rip off of Lexus and Infiniti. WTF. Meanwhile, the South Koreans at Kia are actually building interesting designs (Stinger!!)

I could have lived with the grilles actually, but every design cue here is to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

The Z4 and it's frog like front end was a give away that BMW was about to go full stupid; they have no design inspiration. And, behold.
Does this mean you'll be purchasing a Kia Stinger? Pics or bust!!!

Hah! No. Interesting look from afar; gets boring quick.

This 4 concept though... this was born uninspired.

The chrome isn't doing any favors. Can't wait for a black grill edit.

Overall I'm intrigued and I have a feeling it will grow on me more and more. In my eyes it's better to be bold than boring.

Why is it so hard to be a BMW fan nowadays?
Are they making cars according just to the chinese taste?

No not the Stinger, don't compare anything to that Stinger thing. Every time I see one on the road, my eyes sting so bad!

  • Regular mirrors
  • 18" or 19" wheels instead of 21"
  • Horizontal slats instead of the Concept4 mesh
  • Slightly less aggressive front bumper
  • ...and maybe revised exhaust tips

My other half just saw it and she asked if it was a Jag...

I don't hate it, BUT I do now think the 3er front end should be on the be on the new M3, not this.

Honestly, if nothing else I'm really glad that BMW is changing its design language. The F30/F32 and G30 already look dated as hell. If you told me the G30 came out in 2010 when the F10 debuted, I would believe you. I think BMW must feel the same way if they're scrapping it and moving on so soon.

edit: Jason just agreed and they're in Frankfurt so that means BMW's agreement confirmed :P

OMG I LOVE IT.

Simply beautiful. Not a bad angle on photos. F80 / 82 are all bad angles, its the hardest car to shoot.

This is wow out of the gate. I love this color and I think I will get the M4. Totally bad ass car.
