hmm.. that's not something I have ever felt needed to move.. but ok. my girlfriend's Cadillac CTS has it there inside the door as well... and it's just meh. It's actually rather difficult to find unless you know it is there.. which may be the intent.. |

Yes, but that is at an extra cost and also likely to not be found on dealer lots and require a custom build and extra time.

Yep, it will cost ~25% more...but have a 25 BHP decrease. Just to show people that sacrifice is involved to make this look decent.

The same argument was made when air bags and ABS came out, then anti-skid and rear-view camera--yes, they added cost to the car, but there will come a day when these features are either mandated by law, or expected as standard features by buyers. And by equipping all every car with them, the manufacturer can lower the production cost.

Larger air intake results in higher drag. Since the current automotive trend is larger grills, the only logical thing is to make part of the grill non-functional/closed/fake. Many other brands are already doing it, if you look closely.

I would say that they should try harder, but that’s just me. I’ve owned three 3ers, including the F80, and this doesn’t inspire me to get another one. The grill and tailpipes are right out of Mercedes’ playbook...
