My 2023 320i has them. So I am Europe based (Estonia) and placed my order soon as it was available for LCI (mid June). I got notification from dealer that my car was ready on 1st week of August (08/22). But I just received it, turns out they made it in Mexico not in Germany.
So it has puddle lights (light on door handles?) also power tailgate (but missing hands-free), HUD, lumbar support for both sides (M sport seats). I was not able to order Parking Assist Pro and Driving Assist pro packages, but I got regular ACC (Stop&Go). I also have digital key with wireless charging. Hmm I don't know what it was removed from, I was reading from previous threads that some people didn't have it. I looked on my build sheet and don't see it listed so I don't really know what it's apart of.

are you sure your not mistaking "hands free tailgate" with "power tailgate"? you have the button on the bottom of the trunk that closes it and can lock/unlock the car doors?

A message to all G20/G21 owners or future owners. The LCI does not have puddle lights and does not have hands-free operation of the tailgate. It also lacks a glovebox next to the steering wheel and door compartment lighting. All models from both factories are the same. And not the puddle lights are not the ones in the door handles or the welcome mat. Puddle lights are the ones that have a flat located on the underside of the door panels. All models have an electrically operated tailgate. None of us / you got anything extra or were deprived of anything. Sorry for my english, I use google translator.

This is unlikely. As another user stated, you sure you aren't mistaking the hand's free "kick" operation for power tailgate. If your tailgate does not have a button on the inside of the tailgate to automatically close it without pushing it down manually, then it is not powered.

Whoops I was mistaken and didn't fully know what power tailgate meant then lol. I do not have the button to automatically close my trunk. I'll edit my previous post so others don't get their hopes up.

Also, October build 330e, US market.
Personally, I don't care about the loss of Battery Control. Charging the battery from the ICE by intentionally increasing fuel consumption doesn't seem efficient to me. However, the economics of fuel/electricity are not universal, and some drivers have to contend with quiet/eDrive zones. Battery Hold lets you limit battery consumption, if, for instance, you wanted to save the last 6 miles for the end of your trip, you just punch the button and it limits the use of the battery. I absolutely don't care about gesture control. If they just rolled "Adaptive Mode" into "Hybrid or Hybrid EcoPro," then I don't really care. The Nav feature COULD be a core function of those modes and a separate mode is not needed. Hybrid, by definition, is Adaptive. However, if the Nav feature is deprecated, that would be unfortunate. (Of course, there's really no good way to know if the computer actually was using navigational data to consider upcoming road segments, or if that was just marketing speak.) |

It appears as though the Navigation Anticipation claim of “Adaptive” drive mode has been rolled into “Hybrid Eco Pro.”
“Intelligent Anticipation when Guidance Active” pops up when you select Hybrid Eco Pro. |

So to circle back nothing yet and I'm not holding my breath.. BMW appears to be on a money grab keeping me on the upgrade topic. Seeing the pricing increase for 1/2023 makes it even worse. $1500+ more for the M340I is crazy giving the lack of standard features and removed options.
What are others thinking? |

The lack of standard features might explain the slight decrease in curb weight this year.

I'm a simple person. Some of the things that could've/have been included in the past aren't dealbreakers for me as I'm coming from a smaller, less luxury-focused brand. Performance is probably top of my list so as long as the car offers the performance promised, the luxury amenities are secondary. I definitely wouldn't consider another car at a similar price point (or jumping to an M3, mostly because I need drive which is a $30k jump) because of puddle lights, passenger side bolster adjustments, or a hands-free trunk if it's at the sacrifice of performance. |

Interesting...where did you find these numbers. I haven't been able to find accurate up-to-date specs on the M340i since the official 2020 press release with the spec sheet from BMW. Is there a more updated spec sheet that includes these numbers?

Just picked up my 2023 g22 and no puddle lights. I had removed the projectors from my last car and was going to reuse them. Disappointing to find out they can't be installed.

For those of you with the LCI, do you have lights in the climate control wheels for the vents on the driver side, passenger side and rear seats (talking about the wheel you turn to open/close the vent completely)?
They light up in my 2021, but we were looking at 2023 X3's for my wife and they no longer do. Was curious if this is something else that was cut in the LCI.
