M340i terrible wheel noise

Hi guys,

My 2021 M340i was at the dealership today where they were checking for inflating tyre (rear).

After a couple of short rides, just driving to my garage I started hearing terrible noise that seems to be coming from the front left with the hissing sound as well.

Here is the short clip: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/S2dQEtgpQwM

Please let me know what you think.

Had something similar and driving in reverse fixed it. Something got lodged perhaps in the dust shield

Tried moving the wheels from side to side, reverse etc, and it didn't happen.

Needed to take it to the dealership, and it was indeed a stone stuck in the dust shield.

Not really the best design around this if a fairly big particle can get in.

Thank you for the response!

I had the same exact thing happen to me once in my previous 330i. I drove all the way to the dealership, only for the sound to stop as I was pulling into the service bay, lol. The SA came out and heard the pebble fly off. He even asked if I was there for a loud screeching sound which must have been the pebble, lol.

Happens to my m340 all the time unfortunately very annoying, I try reverse then if that doesn’t work I go around to each wheel and bend the dust/heat shield back and forth until the rock falls out, not very fun if your planning on going out to dinner and end up getting brake dust all over ur hands.
