10% off *before* incentives?

HI all,
In various threads here I have heard of people getting 10% off of an m340i. I have spoken to a few dealers here in Texas, I can get that if I include a couple of incentives, like $2500 BMWFS (2.99 apr is a great rate anyway!) and $2000 loyalty in addition to a dealer discount. For example, a fully loaded $69k car, I can get $2000 dealer discount, plus the above incentives, equals $6500 off, or 9.4% off. Are there people out there getting $6500 dealer discount plus the incentives, for a total of $11k off (15.9% discount)??

If so, please let me know the dealer, no matter where in the US, and I will order from them then pick up the car and drive it home!

thanks for the input!

I have a dealer in Houston who offered me 10% off MSRP plus rebates, but their MF rate was higher. When I questioned that I never heard back from them...

Yes many have done 10% off before incentives, but that can vary based on your geographic location (supply and demand driven).

I would look for an out-of-state dealer and consider that route. I personally am not aware of any dealer close to TX though.

I've yet to see a posted deal for 10% off MSRP. There's been a lot of talk but haven't seen an actual deal. I got $5200 off a $62,070 build before incentives and I'm pretty confident there was no getting better than that for me.

Me either, I think 10% off is very tough for dealer they make no money. I got very close to it before dealer incentive and they want to back out now. Said no deal unless I finance the car.

I think 10% before incentives is tough but might be possible in some areas of the country. I definitely didn't get that much off my car but I think I did pretty ok. I'm picking up my M340 in Boston tonight.

I had a really good experience with Herb Chambers in Boston without a lot of BS.

PS: If anyone's looking for a good person to contact you can send me a DM. I don't want to look like I'm shilling but I had a fairly positive experience.

And you didn't take the 10%? I'll believe it when I see a deal on paper.

You should at least be able to pull 6% off before rebates; i.e. get it down to invoice. Depending on the rebates you qualify for, invoice plus rebates can have you exceed 10% off (also depends on how the car is optioned). I think a lot of people exaggerate a bit, and also forget to include the delivery charge (for which there is no invoice discount), when they 'calculate' the deal they got. Main thing is, push as hard as you can and then push harder. There are a ton of dealers out there looking to earn your business.

Not sure what anyone would have to gain by lying about a deal on the internet lol

The deal I'm about to pull the trigger on is as follows:

Vehicle Price $59,045.00
Savings - $5,904.50
Rebate - $2,000
Purchase Price $51,140.50 + TTL

10% off plus loyalty and .00177 MF

Eta: just waiting to see if local dealer will match before pulling the trigger

Might also be worth mentioning Texas taxes full purchase price so ultimately I will probably be paying as much as someone getting a higher purchase price

What's the rebate here? Is that the loyalty?

You should qualify for more than $2000 in rebates. Maybe they're rolling one in to that discount making it look like 10%.

Possibly! What other rebate other than loyalty is there?

FYI Just sharing so it may benefit others. I wouldn't have pushed this hard if I hadn't seen others getting steep discounts.

Also just got information about an "owners choice" purchase option which I've never heard of, but is apparently a thing here in Texas. Same purchase price, but total of $8,250 off the same MSRP build.

There's a lease and a finance rebate. Either $1000 or $1250 depending on what your region is doing. That $8250 is probably including the rebates also so it's effectively giving you $5000 off MSRP plus $3250 in rebates.

I wouldn't be shocked if you can get a good deal like the above. I havent asked for pricing yet as im not ready to buy but my initial investigations reveal a TON of inventory on the 3 series.

I'm in the Chicago area where there are alot of dealers so its supply and demand. When i visited the lots, there are a lot of new 3 series sitting out.

3 series aren't leasing well. The lower residuals, higher MF and gravitation towards SAV's is hurting them.

I don't doubt you can get it on a 330i. We're talking about an m340i.

I bet "most" cases where folks are getting the max discount before incentives are paying above buy rate on the lease or some other fees not disclosed here. Not sure why one would need to brag about that stuff however, the dealer has to make money somewhere. They wouldn't be in business if they gave cars away. Invoice and buy rate plus the incentives will be the deal I get on Sunday when I pick mine up and will be happy as that is fair IMO.

Has anyone had luck in the New England area getting 10% off MSRP before incentives?

Dealer sent me quote on M340ix drive:

62570 MSRP

7300.40 on incentives

56269.60 sale price

Let me know, I’m looking to get my hands on one in the near future!

I would wait until closer of the end of the month and see if they'll give you the selling price you want.
