Damn. What in the world happened there? Looks like you were T boned? Hopefully no one was hurt. And I’m surprised they didn’t write it off. How’s the car doing after the repair? Any rattles or creaks? From the pics, it looks like perillo did well.

Cab slammed into the side, yeah

Absolutely couldn't tell it happened, Perillo did everything by the book and had BMW inspect it afterwards. They're extremely good.

Repair took two and a half months, most of it just waiting for parts from Germany.

Also on an unrelated note, I saw someone start a thread about drivers losing exhaust pops/burbles after taking their cars in for service and getting new software installed. I think the same thing happened to me when they re-flashed the ECU after the accident.

If anyone has a link to that thread, please drop below.

As long as the car looks and feels like it did before the accident, all is well.

Was your car tuned?

JB+ only, I think your BM3 fiasco scared me away from actually flashing anything lol.

Ah. I assumed that was you but I wasn’t sure since there’s another person also from Chicago with a jb+

Did you take the jb+ out before turning your car in for the repair? Also, are you sure they reflashed/updated your ecu? Did they update the idrive software as well?

Pretty sure this is only for non US models, more specifically EU models due to strict noise restraints

Yeah, didn't want to risk anything.

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately my new 330i is in the body shop less than a week after taking delivery. Your car looks great! Does it feel/drive as it was before the collision?

Good for you! It was a long wait, but quality repairs are always worth it. I had a situation when some weirdo crashed into my car. He was drugged, although he desperately denied it. But he didn't know how to lie, and drugs in the blood are easy to detect. The lawyer from puschnguyen.com helped me win this case, and I used the money to pay the body shop. I felt like screaming when I saw the results of their work. It was more like a cosmetic repair, although they had the car for a month. I didn't sue the body shop, but now I am more selective.
