M340i ordered
Just ordered a new M340i saloon today. Managed to negotiate a good deal (I hope!). Will be sad to see the 435d go, but I'm buzzing to give the B58 a try! This will be my first petrol, and maybe the last, by the looks of things.
So the spec - M340I - G20 Mineral grey Tech pack Sun protection glass My only stipulation was the sun protection glass, but just so happened the only models in the country for delivery soon all had tech packs. Is there anything that is a must have over and above this? Haven't seen many on the roads in Scotland, with exception of one travelling up to Aviemore. Roll on collection day! |

I'm picking up mine in a week's time with the tech, comfort and Shadowline packs. The car as standard is pretty well specced. Tech pack seems to be a must or should be standard imo.
Wanted to get a nice petrol model too before everything goes all electric. |

I would say if you do a lot of motorway miles then the driving assistance package is a must (its super cool as well!). Otherwise the tech pack is the only must. Perhaps lumbar support as well if you have back problems. |

Increases my chances of actually seeing a 340i on the road - I have yet to see one!
Mind you I haven't seen a 330i either apart from mine! Seen a few 320D but they aren't common. |

I've seen a few other 330i's on the roads & more than a few 320d's but every other G20 I see is the 330e.

Picked up my 330i in July, also came from a 435d... although the 330i is lacking a little on power in comparison, IMO, it's a better drive, less crashy and more compliant, plus the new cockpit and tech are great additions. 330i was the biggest engine I could get at the time so spec'd mine up with most stuff bar the visibility pack.... been in a diesel for a while myself so forgot how much better a Petrol sounds! You'll have no power issues though with the M340i 👍🏼

It was through the parks group in Scotland. I had to register the car in February, must have been to hit targets. Will be picking up in March though due to work. Looking through the deal, it actually works out I got the car slightly cheaper than my 435d! Can’t grumble really. Add to that the tax increase from April, plus price rise on the 3er’s, was a no brainier.
