M340i Touring ordered

Hello everyone,

I ordered a M340i Touring in Dravit Grey at the end of January with delivery expected end of March/week 13. I was not planning on getting one quite so soon but with the upcoming increase in road tax and expected BMW price increase on 01/04, I ended up ordering one much sooner.

I currently have a M140i and a M340i seemed to be a natural upgrade and it's a good compromise between space and performance. I will miss my M140i especially as it had a Quicksilver exhaust with a bluetooth controllable valve which made the car sound awesome.

Anyway I went for a fully loaded car as this is going to be a long term car that will be going on some very long trips this summer (including driving to the Arctic Circle). It will have everything except the electric towbar.

Funnily enough there is an Oxide Grey M340i Touring parked in my road, what a coincidence This does make the wait harder as I see it every day!

Anyway car should be due in about an month and I can't wait

Is this PCP or an outright purchase? Just interested in the deal you got.

Thanks

Sounds like a great all round car. Like 90% of an RS6 for half the cost!

You will be very pleased, Im sure.

Our M340i doesn't have the Driver Assistant Pro or the Towbar, but has pretty much everything else. It's a fantastic looking car, goes like a scalded cat and handles fantastically.

Coming from a 520d the steering is much more direct, being slightly smaller with a different bonnet profile I find the car easier to place on the road too. Overall I would say the ride is also better than the 520d Sport on 19s with passive suspension.

It's a lovely colour, perhaps like a light nardo grey.
But me and the dealer both agreed that it suited the saloon better. I don't think it looks great on the touring, I feel darker colours suit the touring better.

Its handling was the main reason I went for it over an X3 M40i. The touring is a great middle ground as I needed more space but didn't want to compromise on handling. I drive down to the Alps every year for the mountain roads so handling is very important for me

The new car finally arrived yesterday. Below are some pictures

Could not be happier with the colour, it looks stunning.

Lovely looking car. Some colours really suit the Shadowline Plus and yours is one of them!

Exact same colour/spec as my order. Beautiful.
I had the same thoughts about oxide grey. It makes the touring seem a bit too luxury/executive.

The rear profile is the best I’ve seen so far. Actually makes me like the exhausts.

Oxide grey is a really lovely colour and I would not hesitate to choose it if I had got a saloon.

I am lucky having an Oxide grey M340i Touring in my area which I see everyday which helped me make my mind up!

Agreed about the rear, it looks really good, even better when it’s debadged (which I will be doing) for the sleeper look

You will not be disappointed!

I haven't actually driven it yet as it's at the detailers yet but I was able to sit in it and try out some features. It's tough picking up a car then not being able to drive it!

Very nice indeed. Good to see a G21 in Dravit Grey as I am awaiting the same 340d that was due to be built end of April so it will be delayed because of the virus. I look forward to more pics please.

I think it's a stunning colour with the black shadowline.

Have you seen it in different lights?

I have only seen a few in this colour. I am considering some of he black performance kit such as rear diffuser and side skirts. No stickers!

Looking good. Got to admit though I'm not a huge fan of the alloys in all black.

Very nice. Dravit does look really good when clean.
In my opinion some colours suit the black wheels and Dravit is one of them.
