okay so there is xdrive suspension parity but on the spec sheet it says the xdrive model is higher and ground clearance lower. I'm confused. I can see that the xdrive model uses a bit higher tires as standard but still.

Hmm, maybe higher overall ride height but more bits that hang lower in the front/trans area for the AWD that reduce ground clearance?

It's only going to get exciting when they add in the 6 cylinder versions
Although I do love the new 'chunkier than ever' M steering wheel.. I'm a bit split on the interior overall though. I think it looks cool right now because it's new, but is it actually attractive design..? I'm not so sure. I think it might be the sheer number of different finishes/textures, also the shortcut and volume panel looks like they forgot about it and had to squeeze it in 'somewhere' last minute But on the plus side, love the virtual cockpit screen and glad they kept the 'hexagon' design theme. |

i was at the LA auto show this past weekend and I can tell you that many brands specially the american brands have taken the ANGEL EYES and added it to their cars, Camaro, dodge cars have it, some of the asian brands as well. So I see why bmw moved away from the ANGEL EYES.

I get that there are only so many ways of making interesting looking lights... But I also think the angel eyes looked better, and that's why it was copied. Not sure the best solution to copying is to change your own design to something less striking. When they first started with the angel eyes, it was a master stroke as anyone seeing those headlights come up behind them knew 'BMW'. It gave the cars a great impact. I wonder what the new design does, if anything, to give the car a similar on road signature? |

So the overall height is higher for most AWD cars. Lower ground clearance could be from the transfer case. For sure the suspension is probably tuned to be softer and taller. |

Any information about ventilation in the wireless charging on the G20 place? My concern is that smartphones may shutdown if they get too hot while charging and running applications in a confined space without cold ventilation.
Thanks |

That really shouldn't be an issue. Phones have been charging and running apps for years. Wireless charging typically isn't that high powered (even rapid charge), that the thermals are an issue.

G20 Torsional Rigidity
Larger of this value, the better:
E46 - 18,000 Nm/deg E90 - 22,500 Nm/deg F30 - 29,300 Nm/deg G20 - 36,625 Nm/deg (based on 25% more than predecessor) E46 M3 GTR (w/roll cage) - 46,000 Nm/deg F80 M3 - 40,000 Nm/deg G20 is approaching F80 M3 stiffness overall, and even higher in body stiffness in certain area if 50% is applied. |

What if it’s charging, running apps and getting the hot summer sun light through the window for some hours? That’s the situation I am concerned about if there is no ventilation at all in the charging place.

I saw my first G20 in the wild this weekend on PCH in Torrance. It was not an M sport and was Mineral White I believe. It does look far, far better in person than in the pictures...it gave me new hope for the G80 I aim to collect at the Welt, provided they still offer ED!

Hey folks! My lady is looking into picking up a 2021 M340i pretty soon. Anything I should look to add from the factory when it comes to trim/options?
It will be her daily driver, might try to borrow it for the track here and there haha. Would like to get the forums general feedback on the car and etc. Thanks! |
