While moving but it's all voice based. It will read you the message and you talk to reply. Works well and will even send F*uck You. Don't know why I tested it but I just wondered if it censored.

Have you tried setting it to minimum sensitivity? If still a problem - switch it off. Mine only reacts if the wheels get very close too lane markings, but if you are into clipping apexes would be annoying.

I thought it was something like that. iDrive will let you read the message or it will read them to you like ACP. I prefer the former.

My car is fully loaded expect for the laser headlights and the driving pro package.
I wouldn't change anything and I'm glad i didn't order the laser lights. its ugly and its the same design as golf r and the new jaguar headlights.
I will pay anything if the design is similar to the 8 or the new x5 headlights.

Is the parking assistance package worth it? It seems like the only thing on it worthwhile is the 360 degree camera so I didn’t get it. Is it worth it and if so why and how often do you use the camera?

I ordered my car without it but I still have a chance to change it Monday.

I made sure to order 3D camera, just my opinion, in certain parking lots the concrete parking blocks are high enough or on an angle that it can not be detected by the front bumper sensors so it's good to have the 3D view witch incorporates the front camera. There are times I have scraped front under body of the car due to unforeseen high parking blocks.

Secondly, I'm in the snow belt so there are time parking lots during winter months have snow/ice mounds piled in the corner of the parking lot, later de-frosts to ice. When backing up, a visual representation along with parking sensors of how far the snow/ice mound from the corner of the vehicle comes in handy so you do not hit it when backing up on an angle or a car you didn't see.

I use the 360 camera all of the time and am even adding it to another vehicle. I think they are brilliant.

I agree about the lane assistant. However, for me, two essentials are ACC and a HUD. If the only way to get ACC is to get the driving assistant pro, then I would go for it. You don't have to turn on the lane assistant.

On the F30 base BT didn't have audio the first few years (i know my 2013 didnt have it) but eventually I think 2015 model year it was standard.


I know enhanced BT has a few other things, like showing album covers on the screen and pairing 2 phones at once not sure if that is standard now on the G20

I didn't order this option, since I don't need wireless charging which is now packed together with Enhanced BT. I'll probably just use coding to enable some of these pure-software features if it turns out they can be useful to my use case.

This thread has been great. I ordered Saturday afternoon and was able to catch them before they started production so I was able to add the parking assistance package, remote start and wireless charging at the last minute.

I wish they were more clear on the added benefits of the wireless charging option on the website. It makes it seem like it only adds wireless charging and hotspot.
