And I use the paddles more than the lever since it’s easily accessible. I use the shift lever when I want to feel some semblance of shifting like in a manual transmission car. The paddles are very responsive and instantaneous. I’d be willing to say the paddles actually shift better than the ones in my ex-A4 where there was a tiny delay between clicking and the transmission actually shifting. They’re definitely faster than in my A7 and SQ5.

And I don’t think so. Both are really fast and responsive. I’d say they respond at similar times. Just that paddles are easier since your hands and fingers are on the steering anyway (depends on how one drives - I drive with both my hands on the steering wheel).

Guys,
I have a 2020 G20 330i (built 11/19) with the B48D engine. I would like to go either the JB+ or BM3 route, preferably BM3. I would probably like to start off with the JB+ but I was wondering if I would run into any problems as where I am, the average temperature is about 30°C all year round with very high humidity. We have easy access to RON97 fuel (Shell V-Power). |

We don't really have any custom brick and mortar tuners here, really my best bet of a tune would be to go with BM3. If only MP did tunes for the B48. |

Potential problems could be consistent knock or detonation destroying your engine.

If you do go via the BM3 route, let us know how that went.

Again, if you have access to 98 - 100 RON fuel, year round temps less than 70'f and don't track your car, you will probably experience a net positive by just slapping on a device that increases your boost 3-5 psi and should get away without any damage. If you have lower octane fuel, hot temps and track your car, your risk increases significantly and I would not increase the boost without a full, proper, custom map from a very experienced tuner. Broken record here but there is no free lunch out there or the 330i would have just come 3-5 psi higher from factory. |

I’d love to see that video The A4 is a fast car! In fact, in the entry level luxury 2.0l sedan class, the only car that is faster than it is the AR Giulia. My butt dyno still tells me that my A4 was a faster car and even stock for stock, my 330i feels slower.

Edit - Audi has significantly underrated both the 0-60 times as well as power of the 2.0. BMW has underrated it too but I believe Audi even more so.

Hehe I wish. I'm still in my B9 whatsapp group and there have been people posting dragy even of a stock A4s doing 5s flat 0-60s. Lots of 5.2s too. My A4 did 5.2s stock and 4.6-4.7s with RC. My 330i with the JB+ does it in 5.2s. Stock was definitely slower since the jb+ does make it feel faster.
