From signing the contract and putting down deposit on Aug 21st, it has been 101 excruciating days of waiting. And now, finally it is here.

Spec:
2020 M340i xDrive (shame we don't get RWD in Canada)
Mineral Grey
Black full merino leather( that is why my production got delayed 1 month)
Oak wood trim
Premium excellence pkg
Adaptive M suspension
Black mirror cap
Black grille
791M black wheel + PS4S tires

Dealer told me back in August that I would get September's allocation. But they told me again by the end of September that because of my individual merino option, production got delayed for 1 months.

Finally the car is made on Oct 23rd. Departed form Bremerhaven on 27th. Several stops in Europe and arrived at Halifax on Nov 17th.


I thought it would wait for CN rail to get to Toronto but CN rail is striking. So it got trucked by Hansen directly from Halifax. I found the order on Nov 19th Tuesday, thought it would arrive in Toronto in 2-3 days but it never got picked up until the next Monday. Dealer must have cheaped out selecting standard shipping instead of 2 day shipping if u know what I am talking about.

Now Hansen website shows it is enroute and ETA is Wednesday Nov 27th. I will go there immediately to watch it coming off the truck. Dealer tells me PDI will take 2-3 days, so I will pick it up on Saturday 30th! 101 days after I put down the order. What a wait.

Mod(if u can call it mod) planned:
330i black grille
Ceramic coating
Xpel windows tinting.

I was also on the figaro. Mine went to NYC after Halifax. I took delivery this Saturday. Your gonna love it, the low end power is great on the b58. Anything above 3k rpm and your flying.

No clear bra or Paint Protection film?

Im getting PPF on full front, door cups, rockers, luggage and wheel wells. Costs alot but the day I got the car I was already freaking out about scratching it... I need some piece of mind when the weather gets worse.

Thanks for sharing the order timeline. If it's any consolation, the delay because of individual options is quite reasonable. Others were delayed even lounger.

I havent gotten the ppf or tint dont yet. Im taking it to the shop on Monday for that. Im also having the front cerium reflectors and mirrors caps gloss blacked out. I bought the M340 grill in gloss black to match and I bought the IND front wheel reflectors in dravit.

The pictures are from the day I picked it up from the dealer. Ill take new pictures once all the work is done next week.

I suppose you are in the states. Here in Canada, we cannot get black 791m wheel without ps4s.

I dont understand how Canada wouldn't have the all season rf's as a option given the climate.

Not a big fan of bmw keeping certain options only available to some areas and not others.

I agree. RWD should be available worldwide. As least as an option that I can custom order. Damn BMW for keeping it for USA only.

We do. You just have to get the 792 wheel square set up and you get all season run flats.
