3200 miles and she’s in the garage

Got side swiped by a Polo on the M8 today - thankfully there’s witnesses.
2 new doors, a new alloy, wing mirror and potentially also front and/or rear quarter panel need replacing.

FFS! Just my luck 😫

Does anyone know if there’s plenty of parts available yet for the G20? (330e) - or should I be preparing for a lengthy time in a courtesy car?

It was all going so well with the new machine till that!

Ooh ya!
Given that the car was unveiled nearly a year ago now I'd think parts supply should be ok.

Mine was run into by a utilities van and trailer in Charlotte Square a few weeks back. It took a few days to book it in and then four days to fix it so no great delays although the damage wasn't as bad as yours.

Nowhere near as well as the Beemer!

So estimator reckons main damage and replacements / repair to my car to be:

Drivers side:
Front door
Back door
Wing mirror
Rear alloy
Rear quarter panel
Front panel

Given the age and probably value of his car (a 10yr old polo) - I wouldn’t be surprised if his is a write off.

Bummer.

Must admit my immediate reaction to reading the list was 'yours may be a write off'.

If both doors have been hit there must be a reasonable chance that the pillar between front and rear doors (B pillar?) has been damaged.

Hope it is an easy path to get it all sorted.

If it's getting done at dealers I'd be surprised if that wasn't write off damage. I needed a new charging socket hinge (windscreen repair tech managed to open then break it off with his knee). Bill came to £900 since they have to get to it from the inside with all the high voltage disconnected!

I think it’s around a £10k ish repair bill.
It’s not write off territory I’m sure. Car is a £40k motor that’s only 5 weeks old!

The quarter panels will likely be repairable, as will the alloy. So it’ll most likely just be replacement doors and wing mirror.

That’s her in the garage for the next 10-14 days, got myself a new 530e M Sport+ as a hire car. Some very interesting comparisons!
