E85 — W/O Tune

Hi there, was wondering if anyone knows how much e85 you can put in the tank without severely damaging anything especially without tune and upgraded fuel pumps.

Where are you based? I think cars in some counties are approved for e85 as it's more common in those . (It should say on your filler cap what the max permitted is)

If your car is only approved for e10 I'm no mechanic but I would strongly suggest you don't put e85 in

If car still under warranty ,bmw would be well with their rights to refuse to fix any engine or relate components

There is no benefit without a tune.

+1 you need to raise boost to take advantage of the E85 and make more power.

Per BMS +4 can be done without E85, to take advantage of E85 you need a tuner that can add even more power

Map0: Stock tuning, fully disable JB4
Map1: Additive map with peak of 3psi over stock added (91 octane)
Map2: Additive map with peak of 4psi over stock added (91-93 octane)
Map3: Additive map with peak of 6psi over stock added (93+ octane)
Map4: Absolute target map with peak of 20psi target (93+ and/or E30 octane) suggested for higher boost models like G chassis, Supra, and Z4. EWG required for proper control.

Exactly my point.

With Dinantronics the most you can do is up to 93 octane level. No point in using E85 with the Dinan tune.

if you want to take advantage of E85, you need a Jb4 that can add even more boost.
