Two questions for my 2021 m340i.

1) i recently watched a yt video about grill installation and saw they had covers on left-right front in engine bay, see purple. am i missing these and any benefit in adding them?

2) what's that cutout in the lower grill i marked green? there seems to be a round thing oeeking out i have not seen this in any of the other m340i photos. any idea what that is?

1. There were plastic covers over headlights I believe in 2019-2020, possibly 2021, they are surely gone from 2022 pre lci and all lci g20. Just makes engine bay look cleaner, no practical use. You can order them if it bothers you

2. The thing you marked is a radar for adaptive cruise control. Cars without this option don’t have it, so you possibly saw photos of cars without it.
