Live Cockpit Professional without AndroidAuto
Hello everyone,
I bought my first BMW last week, 2 years old G20. I have multimedia iDrive 7 with expencive option "6U3 Live Cockpit Professional". Does anyone know, is it possible that this version nave no AndroidAuto and at the same time it has AutoCarPlay. I am very disappointed |

Try to (OTA) update idrive to the most recent version, Live Cockpit Professional should be shipped with 3 years subscription which allows you to do the OTA updates.

Probably needs to be updated. Android Auto was added on the 07/2020 update.
You can check your update version on the My BMW app or in-car:
Go to AA settings on your phone and make sure 'Wireless Android Auto' is enabled. Only wireless AA is supported. AA itself is not available in every country, although it sounds like you are in a supported country. List of countries here: https://support.google.com/androidau...2Cwhere-to-use Lastly, if it seems buggy or unstable after connecting, try updating or uninstalling updates to Google Play Services.

There are even newer software versions that aren't yet available over the air (OTA), but can be installed by your dealer. Worth a try.
