need help coding block HKFM2
Hello, do not tell me how to code the smooth closing of the trunk in the HKFM2 block, as I understand it, in order to program, you need to set parameters in several positions. I encode with E SIS 3.40

Hey Shawn, thanks for helping other people out, can you share the E-sys, Launcher and psdzdata? I got a ENET cable and plan on getting BU and doing some programming/playing around. I need to replace my headlight and need to program the new headlight in this weekend. Plan on doing a tune in the future and playing with whatever stuff.
Thanks |

Hello everyone
I'm new to this forum and read a lot of posts about coding. I am in awe of your knowledge and experience, especially your Shawn. Could I have a link to download Esys which I will be able to do some coding in my BMW G01(2019.08) Thank you and best regards. |

Was trying to VO Code my G20 to remove the 5AP coding, and followed the VO coding instructions - but now when I go to Read ECU data I get an error on BDC_BODY3:
"CAFD_FFFFFFFF_255_255_255 Fehler: <CpsData object contains a Short-Vin with an invalid character.> CAFD_FFFFFFFF_255_255_255 Fehler: <CpsData object contains a Short-Vin with an invalid character.> CAFD_FFFFFFFF_255_255_255 Fehler: <CpsData object contains a Short-Vin with an invalid character.> CAFD_FFFFFFFF_255_255_255 Fehler: <CpsData object contains a Short-Vin with an invalid character.> CAFD_FFFFFFFF_255_255_255 Fehler: <CpsData object contains a Short-Vin with an invalid character.> CAFD_FFFFFFFF_255_255_255 Fehler: <CpsData object contains a Short-Vin with an invalid character.> CAFD_FFFFFFFF_255_255_255 Fehler: <CpsData object contains a Short-Vin with an invalid character.>" I get similar errors if I try to Code the BDC_BODY3 ECU. If I try to reinject the CAFD files, I get additional CAFD's that don't say "FFFFFFFF_255_255_255" but I still get this Short-Vin error. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Does the 2020 G20 M340i have Active Sound Design (ASD)? I am pretty sure it does because I can hear it.
I tried the cheat code to disable it and it can't find ASD_INSIDE in the RAM ECU FDL Coding. Tried searching for ASD but didn't come up with any results that I'd feel comfortable disabling. Using E-Sys 3.38.2, LauncherPro 5.2.0, PSdZData_Lite_v4.37.42, not sure if I have to change to a different version or anything. Last edited by Liquid_Ice; 10-14-2022 at 10:26 AM.. |

Hi Liquid_Ice.
I think LauncherPRO5.2 have old parameter mappings, so you can't find it. I recommend BimmerUtility because it support latest parameter mappings. But if LauncherPRO used it try this coding. RAM 4223 3001 Audio und ASD Audio und ASD_27_27_1 activ(01) -> inactiv(00) eg:Audio und ASD_27_27_1 mean ASD_INSIDE. I think you could change ASD_INSIDE parameter. Thank you. |

Wish I had realized that LauncherPro was not as good as BimmerUtility - literally just bought the LauncherPro license 2 days ago. Not sure I want to spend another $99 after having just spent $50! EDIT- I checked in the Vehicle Profiler Viewer and it showed ASD_26_26_1 as being applicable to my vehicle, so I tried changing it to not active and that seems to have disabled ASD for me! Thanks for the tip, wish there was a good cheat sheet that maps these to a description of what it does. Last edited by Liquid_Ice; 10-15-2022 at 07:02 PM.. |

For BDC_BODY3 there are a number of CAFD's at least for my car - so I went into the Cheat Code XMLs to figure out which CAFD number corresponded with the change I wanted. Cheat codes are available here: https://github.com/packetpilot/bmw-f/tree/master/cheats For Launcher Pro, I downloaded the cheat codes and put them in "C:\Program Files\TokenMaster\E-Sys Launcher PRO\FDLCodes" then go to cheat codes in Launcher Pro before you launch E-Sys and make sure all of the cheat code boxes are checked. You can also just look into each cheat code XML file to figure out what specific parameters get changed for each cheat but it seemed easier to me to use the Cheat Codes themselves. |

I am asking about the lines of codes because from my experience with e-sys in the F series and many problems after coding, I am going to use Bimmercode in a new car. |

Also, Siegester has a cheat code file posted in that github repo specifically for the G20. Speaking of being in the wrong thread - this thread is on ESYS, if you're planning to use Bimmercode, why don't you go to one of the threads about Bimmercode such as this one?: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1789488 There is even a post in that thread that answers your question on Coasting: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...3&postcount=49 |

Hey everyone got my g20 less than 24 hours ago and already miss adaptive beam from my last car… I’ve used BimmerCode a lot but going to take a crack at BU. Can I have the latest coding info please??
Also, confused on cheat sheets. If I save them, does that mean they’re automatically all applied to the car? Or just a reference on where to go and what values to change? I’ve been watching vids on YouTube but still a tad confused. Thanks! |
