The Genius line says my car is on the RCC Antwerp and will be in Baltimore today... but ship tracker says it's docked in Philadelphia. Who knows when my car will actually make it to the dealer in the DC area. Their tracking system needs some serious work!

I remember some speculation that BMW may be trying to send cars out in advance of the tariffs... Perhaps they purchased additional capacity to ship cars out on the RCC Antwerp and figured it's still cheaper/logistically advantageous to get ground transportation down I-95 than to wait for capacity on a ship that docks in Baltimore?

In fairness, compared to the distance that these will be covering from VPC to some dealers (especially midwest ones), this is nothing.

Your last point is very true. Honestly, I bet it's quicker to truck the car down I-95 than it is for the ship to get to Baltimore from Philly.

The estimate of 2/13 to Baltimore was based on an initial departure date of 1/29 from Veracruz. Due to delays, RCC Antwerp left Veracruz on 2/2. Thus it makes sense that arrival in Baltimore will also be delayed by a few days. RCC Antwerp will move next to Baltimore, as in cars will not be transported from Philly to Baltimore via I-95.

RCC Antwerp is now en route to NYC, with a scheduled arrival of 15 February at 03:00 EST.

How can you tell what ship you are on? Is there a schedule somewhere? My build finished last week and is awaiting carrier pickup.

Once it's put on a ship, the BMW Genius hotline will tell you which one it's on.

Week 11 (March 10) Production anyone? My M340 has flipped from order received to production scheduled. From entries in this forum, it seems to me the time from production to shipping to delivery is erratic, compared to my past experience with German production.
I'm in mid-Atlantic, Baltimore VPC.

Despite several calls, BMW Genius had no idea that my car was on a ship. Car went from arriving at Veracruz on 2/5, to at the VPC on 2/11 without any info from Genius (called to Genius on 2/10 p.m. and was told that a ship hadn't been assigned yet).

Call the BMW Genius hotline and ask them if your car has made it onto a ship yet and if it has what ship. It's possible that they say it hasn't been assigned to a ship yet and won't have a ship name for you. It's also possible that in reality it has made it onto a ship but they haven't updated the tracking so the BMW Genius tells you its still waiting on a ship assignment because that's what he/she sees on their end.

In my case, I called few times over the time period of a week and was told each time by a BMW Genius that my car is still waiting at the Veracruz port for a ship assignment. Then the next time I called I was told my car was already at the VPC in Brunswick, Georgia.

Didn't someone say previously that Baltimore arrival is now 2/17?

Yeah, my sales rep told me this past week it's estimated at Baltimore on 2/17. That very well could have changed by now though. I used to work in logistics at Caterpillar doing last mile delivery like this and ETAs are constantly changing. It's a big problem in the industry.

My car just went from at port (Brunswick VPC) on 2/11 to In Delivery this afternoon (in transit to dealer as they predicted for today). Hopefully it gets to Florida soon.

Nice!!! 😁 Is this on the app, the automated system on the phone, or the BMW Genius?

This is confusing. Why would they go to New York to then go back to Baltimore?

I am week 10. I am hoping these April 2nd tariffs don’t happen or my car is in the US before then.

This was on the app. BMW website tracking showed the same (including F12 hack).

Nice! I’m in south Florida - Delray area. Are you in the Tampa/orlando area by any chance?

For as much as the shipping tracking seems to be highly inaccurate and FUBAR. Genius was spot on with my production. On 31Jan, Genius said my build would be 17Feb. A few days later it updated to 14Feb. Then yesterday like clockwork my build went step by step through production and is released to a carrier for transport to the exit port. All this was slightly ahead of my original allocation from the dealership for the 3rd week of Feb.

Now the shipping bingo game begins.

Kinda weird how RCC Antwerp goes from Brunswick, Philadelphia, New York, and then Baltimore instead of Brunswick, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York.
