M340i xDrive Tyre set up

Hey guys,

I have xDrive and have been told keep the same ratio as stock set up.
Factory are:

F:225/40/19
R:255/35/19

I would like to go wider on the rear, if I go 275/35/19, then would that mean I go 245/40/19 on the front.

I keep the same profile but increase the front a rear width equally.

Sorry new the the tyre scene so not that clued up!

What you want on xDrive is to keep the diameter (either in inches or revs/mile) within ~1% front to rear. The sizes you want to go to do meet this criterion. However Michelin recommends a minimum wheel width of 9" for the 275/35x19. If you are currently on the stock staggered setup I believe the rear wheel is 8.5". Their website is very helpful in answering some fitment questions.

You would have to go 275/35 and 245/40 for Michelin or 285/35 and 255/40 for Continental SC7's

Try here for comparisons https://tiresize.com/comparison/
