I really don't like the direction of the design, it will age quickly and is just plain ugly. Just look at that that ugly ass 3 series behind it.

They look like a Recaro, don't be ridiculous.

MB more than likely gets their seats from Recaro, like many auto manufacturers do.

I love the M3 and so far the styling is like none other, but to omit the Power Dome the only difference from the M340i is the hips. The power dome lets you know from a mile away that the M3 is nothing to play with.
Well I guess aftermarket hoods is going to have a field day with this.. Just my 2 cents.

buddy youre way to early to make that judgment ... wait until all the clad comes off and if you dont see a power dome then, then u can freak out. but judging by the level of aggressiveness in every other aspect of this car so far im pretty certain ull see it confirmed there soon enough

Oooo excited at seeing those seats. Are we thinking they might be standard or an option? I wonder if there could be different seat options!

I wouldn't be surprised if the hood will be different than the regular version but maybe this time not with the classic power dome as we know it from the last 3 generations.

However, if they use a regular hood, it would be a disappointment, but I'd never consider aftermarket solutions for that. Either the real thing has it or not. With aftermarket you'd do something which you can do with every other regular model, that's fake and cheap.

relax dude. you didn't even bother to look at the spy pics of the hood. it's not similar to the g20 in any way and on top of it we've had THREE generations of m3's with specific hoods.

Oh, I am sure they will be a costly option.

All jokes aside - those seats and ccb I am going all out on this one.

Lightened the shadows in this pic - interesting deisgn in the bottom left with the angular slat.

Very clearly appears to be horizontal grille slats - which seems ridiculous from a historical design lineage perspective.

Is it just me or does it look like BMW took the X7 grill, cut it in half, turned each half so the tops connect to make the slats horizontal, and tacked it on the production nose to mask the true grill design???

I honestly believe the camo is equal parts them messing with us, and them testing the waters of the vertical grille for a possible future generation. Either that or the "vertical" grilles are much smaller than the camo makes it appear.

Precisely! I mean those black and white AMG performances seats with the perforations are just downright fantastic!
Yes!

If SCOTT is to be believed, then I would say that the grills are pretty freaking large (vertically)....

But they are also probably messing with us - we will know in September I guess.

The E90 M3 borrowed the grill from the E92 3 Series and M3, the F80 borrowed the grill from the F32 and F82, and now it appears that the G80 will borrow its grill from with the G22 and G82.

Really, the 19" front, 20" rear wheel setup bothers me more than the grill. I'm reserving judgment on the grill until it's shown.

Except anyone with a somewhat wider bottom portion will not sit comfortably in an AMG style performance seat.

Yup, looks the difference will be the 4er gets the diamond pattern and G80/G82 get the horizontal slats.

The AMG performance seats are a $2500 option, S model or non. So BMW has that baseline to justify a solid gouging.

My very shitty MSPaint for if BMW keeps the current /---------\ shape bumper. This is how I think they will implement the grilles, with the chrome border overlapping the black mesh bits. Also...dammit BMW make a red M car again! Stop saving them for the SUVs lol
