Hi, just got a prompt to install software version 11/2019.70. Does anybody already have this, are there any new features and have you noticed any problems? My G20 works fine on the previous SW so if there's nothing new here I might hold off installing.

11/2019 is way more stable than 07/2019. But if you haven't noticed any issues don't rush to update.

Ok thanks Burrcold. TBH the only feature I actually want and miss is the active lane assistant. I have all the hardware bits but for some reason it's not activated. Dealer just says some have it some don't, it will get it at some point but BMW needs to pull the trigger. Sigh.

11/2019? I have it since I got the car in December. Isn't supposed the 03/2020 to be rolling out?

I hope I don't have to wait half a year for the rollout of the July update that is supposed to bring Android Auto...

I think it's the .70 that's new. Mine was on 11/2019.30 since I got it in December.

03/2020 is already out but it seems to have next to no improvement over 11/2019 from what I can gather. And some have had issues once updated.

I assume BMW doesn't release "patch notes" on what each update does right?

Actually, it kinda does. When I log in to the Connected Drive portal, then click on "Remote Software Upgrade", there is a header "Release Notes" which contains release notes for every version I have had in my car. No list of bugs solved though.

Fun fact: I can now finally order BMW Drive Recorder (car was one of the first ones produced, DR was not available on my car earlier). Just ordered, will be trying it later today.

Just got in my car this morning and first OTA upgrade is here! I'm in Sweden and current software version is 03/2019.70

Update is 11/2019.70

Downloading now, will be excitingly to see how/if this works.

11/2019.70 is the over-the-air version of 11/2019, that has been rolling out to european G20s over the last weeks. I guess BMW has decided that this one has been fully baked and took the plunge. Pretty sure there won't be any new features compared to older patch levels of 11/2019. The active lane change seems to be a regulatory thing, so don't count on it being activated in a RSU.

The 03/2020 is being loaded on new vehicles and via dealers.

Do you have to update your car? Dont want my ecu locked an unable to flash as im on bm3.

Thanks mbank. There are actually a couple of new features - the PDC Emergency Braking for one. I turned it on, it scared the crap out of me while I was reverse parking into a space, I turned it off. Shall never be used again

Re active lane change, you could well be right that it's a regulatory thing. Shame.

I can confirm that for new cars (go mine last week) the software version is 03/2020.30

The lane change assistant & in-instrument panel driver assistant view can be coded. I have done so & they both work great!

Please go to Coding & DIY sub forum & find the Your BMW might have s hidden Tesla mode thread (or something like that with Tesla) & there's a great video on how to do it & what featires/options your has to have -- unfortunately, am on my phone & can't pull up URL

I'm on 7/2019.55 and I have that feature. If you go into the PDC settings it's there. Sometimes when I back out of my garage it thinks I am going to hit the edges of the wall and it slams on the brakes.

I think the trick is to not cut the wheel. If you back straight out just as you pulled in, it won't freak out; its when the wheel is cut (which I was used to doing to make small adjustments) that it gets paranoid regarding wheel direction.

I've started using backup assist more for this reason. Easy to just tap the screen then tap the accelerator pedal to back out into the end of the driveway, then I take control from there.

My M340i got updated to 03/2020 and I do not see climate control rules anymore. Anyone else facing this issue?
